The weather was starting to cool so we returned to climb up the wash. This week I listened to "Sunday at the Village Vanguard" [1] by the Bill Evans Trio.

There are many great #piano trios, but this combo really stands out. Impeccable taste combined with humility and understatement. What a wonderful piece of art.

I remembered bassist Scott La Faro in the wake of the news of Glen Hansard's passing, while pondering how many artists humanity has lost way too early.

Both Scott and Glen could have graced us with so much more of their works, but at least their recorded legacy will stay with us.

Let's enjoy the beautiful things.
