I never got into the music of Glen Hansard and boy am I now glad that I didn't after reading numerous accounts of him being a sexual predator who specifically targeted teenagers and having groomed his bandmate/costar since she was 12 years old only to date her when she turned 18. Despicable

This week I listened to "Sunday at the Village Vanguard" [1] by the Bill Evans Trio.
There are many great #piano trios, but this combo really stands out. Impeccable taste combined with humility and understatement. What a wonderful piece of art.
I remembered bassist Scott La Faro in the wake of the news of Glen Hansard's passing, while pondering how many artists humanity has lost way too early.
Both Scott and Glen could have graced us with so much more of their works, but at least their recorded legacy will stay with us.
Let's enjoy the beautiful things.

I just learned that #GlenHansard died on July 29. Such sad news.
Such a great musician. Of course the song most of us remember is #FallingSlowly together with #MarketáIrglová from the motion picture soundtrack of “Once“, in which both also had played the main characters.
This song never fails to touch me.
