I grew up in a #jazz home, and so did my son. To this day, my son and I still get a thrill spinning #KindOfBlue, #TimeOut, #GiantSteps, #MingusAhUm, and other vinyls.
Would the #Swifties still be listening to those songs, when they come of age? Will they introduce this music to their children and grandchildren? Will this music stand up to the Grind of Time—like Time Out—or will it time out?

Chum reminded me that on this day, March 2nd, back in 1959, Miles Davis and Co started their first recording session for what would become Kind of Blue. One of my all-time favourite jazz albums, hell, one of my all-time favourite albums of any type.
Among the other musicians involved were the equally legendary John Coltrane and the brilliant Bill Evans. Blue gold...
