Якщо Росія переможе: майбутнє Європи, про яке її лідери говорять надто мало
Експерти з безпекових та політичних питань застерігають, що Росія веде проти Європи «тіньову війну». Вони ж наголошують, що Україна має ключове значення для європейської безпеки. Однак на виборах зміцнюють свої позиції партії, що подають ситуацію в іншому світлі.
Чому?
Багато противників підтримки України зосередилися на ключовому аргументі. У його основі — те, що видається благонаміреною турботою про власні інтереси. «Наша країна витрачає надмірно багато зусиль на цю підтримку, — так звучить цей аргумент. — Десятки мільярдів не зупинили війни. Натомість наші обмежені ресурси слід витрачати на власних громадян. До того ж ми недостатньо сильні, щоб протистояти Росії. Гуманітарна допомога — так, сильніша армія для нас самих — так, але в цю війну не варто втручатися. Якщо Україна зрештою опиниться в російській сфері впливу, це, може, й прикро. Зате ми принаймні не наражаємо на небезпеку себе! Навіщо нам розорятися й жертвувати власною безпекою заради них?».

Як цьому протидіяти?
Замість того, щоб пояснювати це лише російською дезінформацією, страхом політиків перед наступними виборами, незбагненним відчуттям безпеки на Заході чи союзом правих і лівих популістів із Кремлем, я вважаю корисним також критично поглянути на самих себе. Так ми, можливо, знайдемо аргументи для великої кількості тих, хто ще вагається.
Об’єктивно кажучи, Росія — не єдина екзистенційна загроза для Європи. Інші ризики також потребують нагальних дій (залежно від політичних поглядів, серед них можна назвати борги, екстремізм, неконтрольовану міграцію, зміну клімату, ШІ, прірву між багатими й бідними, зловживання соціальними виплатами)! Не всі вважають, що саме Україна — найнагальніше питання.
Адже факти можна тлумачити по-різному.
Не для всіх очевидно, що Росія давно має намір напасти на Європу. Можливо, атаки на європейську інфраструктуру мають на меті лише відбити в Європи бажання підтримувати Україну, і не більше?
Не всі вірять, що посилена підтримка Києва змусить Москву відступити. Російські заяви («Київ за три дні!») не справдилися — але хіба не так само помилилися союзники України, прогнозуючи, що в РФ ось-ось закінчаться ракети чи гроші або що Україні для перемоги бракує лише тієї чи іншої системи озброєння?
