I'm sure this tree wasn't here yesterday afternoon on my walk. (Actually, this was NOT here yesterday.) Trees grow really quickly in Nova Scotia, obviously! Ha ha.
I never thought to bring our pocket chainsaw on our bike ride today. Ha ha.
What were the chances that it would come down like that, standing absolutely upright, in the middle of the path? You can see the part of the tree it's broken off from that has fallen on the side, just to the right of the path on this side of the tree. It was really hard to get the bikes around it through the woods on the side.
Bike rides always have surprises of one sort or another.
