  9. Oh no, Openbuilds goes out of business 😓

    The CEO Mark Carew invented the V-Slot extrusion in 2013. We use them on the Bear because the V shape offered an easy alignment during the assembly and more flexibility for the printed parts (no support needed).

  10. This is how serviceable the BearExxa V2 is. 4 screws + unplug the motor and you have access to gearing, hobb gears, idler door, filament sensor and top of PTFE. Cleaning is a breeze!

    For the reassembly: no gears to adjust, nothing to align or center, no extra tool, no warranty void!

    On the back you can access all the wiring and belt path with just a few screws and without having to unplug anything. 2 more screws and you can remove the extruder.

  20. OCCT 8.0 (aka Open Cascade Technology) is out! It's the CAD kernel used by many projects such as @freecad, , or even @kicad ! It has wrappers for STEP and IGES and can use BRep topology representation. A very important open source tool for the hardware world!
