Probenwochenende mit meiner Bigband verbracht. Sie haben viel geprobt und alles gegeben. Die Nacht im Jugendherbergsbett war kurz und nicht ganz so erholsam wie erhofft. Aber es hat riesigen Spaß gemacht und sich auch musikalisch absolut gelohnt.
Jetzt merke ich aber, wie anstrengend über 10 Stunden reine Probenzeit für meinen Kopf war.

My good deed for the day (I thought so, anyway): our sports reporter, a kid of about 30, was listening to some decent big band stuff in the office this morning. I talked him into throwing on some Glenn Miller and more precisely this tune. He hadn’t heard of Glenn Miller before our conversation; I shared with him how Maj. Miller died in a plane crash in December of 1944. Next thing I know, the office was jammin Glenn. I think I did OK.
