Bigbands werden bijzonder populair in de jaren #30s en #40s van de 20e eeuw tijdens de periode van de #swing Een #bigband bestaat gewoonlijk uit ongeveer 12 tot 25 muzikanten en omvat saxofoons, trompetten, trombones en een ritmesectie.

Today’s my birthday, and I couldn’t have planned a better way to spend it.
I got a last-minute call two nights ago to sub for a show in Vermont, and now I’m spending my birthday doing what I love — playing piano with students, performing with a trio and a big band. Truly grateful for the music, the opportunity, and the chance to share this moment with the next generation of musicians. What a special way to celebrate.

War gestern Abend auf einem Konzert von Swingtime #Weyhe. Prima #Swing , #Jazz und Pop und ein unglaublich sympathisches Ensemble. Von Bremen war es eine schöne abendliche #Radtour dahin, zugegebenermaßen bei -4° nicht jedermanns Sache, aber die Musik war wirklich herzerwärmend. Und für einen guten Zweck: Zur Unterstützung der örtlichen Schule.
Wenn ihr in der Gegend wohnt, achtet mal auf deren (leider seltene) Auftritte.
