I went along to a gig at the weekend, smol festival, #AllPointsEast, headlining was Death Cab for Cutie / Postal Service and they were incredible.
Some of the fans were not however, which was a little surprising. One comment aimed at us was “oh, the Swifties are out, now they can hear [proper|good] music”…. (I guess the Eras tour tote bag was enough to pass judgement). The other #mood was the shitty looks given to anyone daring to venture through the crowd to either the bar, toilet or friends 🤷

One of my #DukinfieldCC clubmates (Phil Cunningham) has just completed All Points North...a HUGE ride from #Sheffield, through the #LakeDistrict, up to the #Scottish border, back down through #Northumbria and then back into #Yorkshire. He's classing this 1000km+ ride as training for the #TransContinental that he's madly got on! Took him four days!

Does anyone have any experience with these cheap, in both price and quality, extendable flag poles as antenna masts? There are 20 and 25 footers for less than $60 USD. I'm in the city, but have 50 feet across the back of my lot. I'm thinking one of these in each corner with an end fed wire strung between them.
This is a kludge and I wouldn't expect it to survive more than a year but it would get me on the air.

Events were conspiring to keep me at work today but I finally escaped. At one of my locals. It's t-shirt weather. The roil up door is up. There's a tasty beverage in front of me. Life is good.

Snagged the last pair of bar seats at my local. SO was on their way. Musicians were just getting settled in.
Food was tasty, Guinness perfectly poured and the staff was great as usual.
The musicians were wonderful. Today I learned what uilleann pipes are called. I've seen them before, I just didn't know the name.
I truly hope you folks have as good an end to your day and maybe learn something new as well. Stay strong. Keep looking out for each other. We'll get there.
