  9. #Laravel #LaraconUS

I hoped for some more Framework features.
    - Inertia 2.0 looks nice – but using Livewire most of the time.
    - VS Code extension sounds really cool if you don't use PhpStorm already.
    - Laravel Cloud might be nice for competing with Vercel and NodeJS ecosystem, but I think I will stick with some VPS for my stuff.

  10. By the way, if you have problems with connecting a JetBrains app to a DevContainer, like "the host is not found", try going to the settings and changing SSH parsing to "legacy"

  12. Today marks the first time looking at #PHP #Opcode. Used #phpdgb which was already installed. Is there a better/preferred way? Perhaps @derickr PECL extension would be better? For the truly lazy me, I looked for a #PHPStorm plugin to view opcode in the IDE, but nothing came up. Is there such a thing, or CLI is the way to go? Thank you mastodon for surfacing this subject and giving me something to learn. Eons ago I studied 370360 assembler, it all seems vaguely familiar…

  13. @outofcontrol This time it was a ludicrous behaviour when setting up #DDEV and #PhpCSFixer within #docker with "external tools". Phpstorm only excepted one single setting after each other and I had to restart the software after each setting so that Phpstorm would find config files in the docker container. After clearing the cache everything worked as expected.

  15. @LinuxClaude most likely can in the #Crostini #Linux container on #ChromeOS. I install a number of GUI apps including PHPStorm/VSCode/Steam in my ChromeOS Linux environment.

  16. New week, new fun. Time to update/upgrade to the latest version of #ddev.

Maybe that is a good time to summarize my current minimal dev environment on my #M3Max (16/40).

For my daily #PHP work, I have my trusted #PHPStorm. DDEV powers project dev environments, and #OrbStack is my Docker "provider" of choice.

#Warp is my (#zsh) terminal, #Raycast my Spotlight replacement.

#Rust, #zig, #Python and #Typescript dev is done on an #archlinux OrbStack machine and #VSCode remote editing.

  17. Hey #SoloPreneurs, is anyone using YouTrack for issues and helpdesk? I currently use Jira for issue management and FreshDesk for customer tickets but I see YouTrack can do it all in one and as a PHPStorm fan I'm wondering if this is the right way to go?

What are your experiences with this?
