I saw that there is an Open Collective page named PHP Foundation Europe with some admin shared with the PHP Foundation page.

I haven't seen any news about that page (added at the end of 2025), what's the goal here ?

I represent an European company so I wanted to check 😃.

My bet? Given the Rust ecosystem, we would be months away of truly async, green threads, non blocking IO, and a complete performant web server implementation.

If people are wondering what I'm doing with the money from #ThePHPFoundation:
Adopting #ConFoo #ElePHPants from Canada.

One of the reasons I chose @opencollective is for the transparency. You're able to see all the money deposited and all disbursements made, so you can tell how the money is being used.

So, even while we might end up with a surplus of funds (thank you!), you know I can't take it for my own use. The money has to be used for PHP Community purposes.

Plus, our fiscal host is Open Source Collective, a US registered non-profit 501(c)(6) organization, the same fiscal host #ThePHPFoundation uses.
