  1. 🚀 Webinoly v1.21.2 is out now!

This release brings very important improvements and fixes. Most notably, Ubuntu 26.04 is now fully supported and tested! The entire stack and all packages have been properly built and are ready to go.

    Update your servers today! 🛠️⚡

  2. Heads up! 📢

Canonical’s Snap Store will be down this Sunday, July 5 (22:00 UTC) to Monday (02:00 UTC). No snap installs or updates will work during those 4 hours.

With , you're covered. Starting with Ubuntu 26.04, Certbot is installed via PIP by default. On 22.04/24.04? You can also bypass Snap entirely—just set "snap:false" in your config file to force PIP on any OS.

Keep your servers independent and under your control! 🚀

  3. 🚀 Webinoly v1.21.1 is out now! Bringing important improvements & fixes.

⚠️ Ubuntu 26.04 Status: Support is currently partial. Full PHP support isn't quite there yet; while PHP 8.5 is good to go, earlier versions are still pending. We're at the mercy of the Ondřej PPA for this, so it’s a bit out of our hands for now!

That said, if you're ready to dive into PHP 8.5, feel free to start testing it out. 🛠️

    📢 Ubuntu 26.04 Status Update ⏳

1.5 months post-release, Webinoly is locked, loaded, and ready to ship! However, we are stuck waiting for PHP.

Our ecosystem depends on Ondřej’s PPA, which has unfortunately gone completely silent regarding "Resolute" support.

This delay is entirely out of our hands. We will flip the switch the moment stable PHP packages land. Thank you for your patience! 🛠️

  9. There’s a special kind of satisfaction in updating servers and sites to the latest PHP 8.5 without a single hiccup. 🚀

That’s when you know you’re doing things the right way—the Webinoly way.

    Stability and performance, no compromises.

  10. RE: fosstodon.org/@webinoly/116489

Quick update on Ubuntu 26.04 (Resolute) support! 📢

It’s been a month since release, but we are still waiting for some upstream dependencies to be fully production-ready. Specifically:
    🔹 PHP (Ondřej Surý PPA)
    🔹 Redis

Everything else is looking great, but without these two, we can't guarantee the stability you expect from Webinoly. We are monitoring the status daily and will flip the switch as soon as they are ready. 🔄

    Stay tuned! 🚀

  11. 🚀 New Webinoly Release!

We’re fast-tracking this update to fix critical issues:

🛠️ PHP PPA Fix: New resilient socket management to solve breaking changes in Ondřej Surý’s repo.

📦 Rclone Integration: We’ve replaced Duplicity/Duply with for faster, more robust backups. Time to migrate!

🐍 Certbot via PIP: No more Snap! PIP is now the default for Ubuntu 26.04 (Snap remains optional).

  12. RE: fosstodon.org/@webinoly/116489

Still tracking the Ubuntu 26.04 rollout.

This release introduced several critical low-level changes and improvements that are causing a slower-than-usual turnaround for some upstream packages. While developers work through these complexities, we remain in "stability first" mode.

We’ll pull the trigger on full support as soon as the core stack meets production standards. Thanks for your patience!

  14. RE: fosstodon.org/@webinoly/116077

The Canonical DDoS has a major casualty: the Ondrej PHP PPA. Installing or updating PHP on Ubuntu has been nearly impossible.

This is the exact structural risk we discussed with @thephpf months ago. Relying on a single platform for the world’s PHP binaries is a massive Single Point of Failure.

Infrastructure resilience must be a priority. We need to secure the supply chain as much as the code itself. 🛠️

  16. ⚠️ Service Alert: Upstream Issues

We are tracking ongoing connectivity issues with Ubuntu/Canonical infrastructure due to a reported DDoS attack. This is affecting the installation and update of some essential packages.

Unfortunately, this is outside our control, but we are monitoring the situation closely. Please check the official status here: status.canonical.com/

We recommend postponing new installations until services are fully restored. 🛠️

  17. 🚀 Ubuntu 26.04 Status Update

We are already working on support for the new LTS! While we wait for PHP, MySQL/MariaDB, and Redis packages to be fully available and stable in their respective repositories, we are making progress.

⚡ Huge thanks to Nginx for the immediate availability!

We will announce full support as soon as the rest of the stack is ready for production. Stability is our priority. 🛠️

  19. The roadmap for 2026 is clear: Ubuntu 26.04 LTS arrives next week. 📦

Our goal is to have every production environment fully optimized with 8.5 and the latest .

Your business deserves a server stack that evolves as fast as the web. Never get stuck on legacy software again.

  20. 3 ways to manage a web server:

🏗️ Docker: Abstraction & CI/CD. Best for scaling microservices in enterprise teams.
🖱️ Panels: Simplicity & GUIs. For those who prefer a visual, hands-off approach.
🚀 Native CLI: For the purists who demand bare-metal performance, zero overhead, and total control over the OS.

All 3 are valid, but if you want to squeeze every drop of power from your server, is your best ally. ⌨️⚡

  21. Less config, more coding. 💻

: The fastest way to deploy and manage highly optimized servers for development or production.

    Ideal for:

  22. Self-hosting is far more than a technical project; it’s a fundamental shift in how you live your digital life. While tech skills are the "entry fee," they aren't the whole journey.

The real work isn't just the code or the commands—it’s the daily commitment to maintenance, organization, and personal responsibility. It’s a lifestyle choice. 👇

  24. Webinoly has been a stable part of the LEMP ecosystem since 2017. 🛠️

We’re opening a Partnership Program for creators with active, organic audiences. If you build high-quality or content, we want to support your work with full access and brand visibility.

High-performance stacks meet high-quality content. Let's grow together.

  26. 📢 Webinoly: Enhancing Server Stability

In our latest release, we’ve disabled Ubuntu Automatic Updates by default. 🛠️

Why? Unpredictable updates often cause race conditions. Nginx frequently fails to restart because network services aren't ready during the update sequence, leading to "mysterious" downtime.

We believe in stability by design. We’re eliminating silent failures and putting control back in your hands where it belongs.

  28. Is the PHP ecosystem just one big xkcd "Dependency" meme?

We rely on legends like @ondrej the "one guy in Nebraska" of PHP. Why no official @php Foundation repo?

It’s the "Glue Problem." Managing PHP's links to shifting system libs across every distro is a massive DevOps task.

The @thephpf stays focused on Core C development; Docker is their "official" path now.

Is relying on community experts a risk or just peak efficiency?
