These are two W.A.S.P. albums I wish had been released on vinyl. I believe Part II was issued on vinyl at one point, but not the first. It’s a shame, as they’re both really good. Maybe a Neon God box set featuring both someday?

Last week was too slow to really justify a neomoji roundup but this week more than made up for it.
For starters: @[email protected] gaveneomousean update. It includes all sorts of things including handheld forms of several neocritters and new kissing and nomming (not pictured) between neomouse and some of their neofriends.
@[email protected] made a bunch of updates too. There are a few secret newneoghosts floating around such as neoghost_high that were not in the initial release. We also got a few updated*_miffyvariants of neocritters. These have the x mouth an dot eyes that come from Dick Bruna's Nijntje emoji set, which I think was the inspiration forneobun? Lastly, Alex gave us some new birthday neocritters.
@[email protected] gave neodog a cute little tail to wag for dogtober
Neocat can now nom on a pleading neocat, thanks to @[email protected]
@[email protected] has been in overdrive creating woozys for a bunch of the tools and tech stack that you could use when making games including neoapple, neogodot, neogpu, and neomug (of coffee). Not pictured because I ran out of space but neoreddit and neopython also exist. Not satisfied with those alone, they also made neopudding, neostar, and neocat_smug_woozy.
Finally, there are now two competingneopumpkins in circulation. My 4th version of the neopumpkin design has started to spread as an emoji. But @[email protected] has also made a neopumpkin. Maybe I should rename mine to neojack since it's clearly a jack-o-lantern, not a regular pumpkin?
I also wanted to make people aware of a few server migrations in case you hadn't heard. Volpeon has moved (at least temporarily) to a new instance @[email protected] to try out Ice Shrimp. Ente's hat-eine.entenbru.st has shut down taking @[email protected] and the #NeomojiMixer @[email protected] with it. Kitty.social migrated to CherryPick but kept the domain so there shouldn't be issues there.

@codetholdory Sadly, there were a few issues. #PyPDF4 isn't really ready - no documentation (though maybe in theory it's still identical to PyPDF2). And #PyPDF2 documentation is all outdated! All of the methods were renamed from snake case to camel case, and some given completely new names. Managed to figure out all that and reproduce the compression example, but it actually results in a slightly larger file instead!

500 characters isn't sufficient for my recent #glasses ordeal. But yesterday the #optician tried to re-use great lenses that had been in an imperfectly fit frame to make a spare pair while a newer pair is sent back to the lab... but that didn't go well. And they didn't *notice*. I was lucky to have brought an older pair with me so I could drive home. Then I realized just how bad these were messed up. And this photo doesn't even cover it... there's palpable warping on the front of the lens!

CW: Post-Concussion Syndrome (and Screens)
Something I could not find much information about online was the relationship with refresh rate, PWM (brightness/pulsing) rate and concussions. More generically, eyestrain is recognized as a symptom of lower refresh rates.
What I found was a relationship between refresh rates and how long I could comfortably use screens before getting headaches and fatigue.

I had my #DSLR for quite a few years before friends convinced me trying using #RAW format. But I still mostly use #LightRoom on Android for quick, easy adjustments to lighting.
Recently shot a wedding (not a professional!), and the dim lighting left some photos noisy, but a trial of ON1 worked wonders for decreasing noise. #denoise
What's your process, and what parts do you like or dislike?

Living near #Doylestown, PA, USA (that's kind of near #Philly) work (remotely) at #BrickSimple.
Grew up on a farm (farmette - horses, chickens, sometimes a cow or pig, lots of cats and dogs) in #Lebanon (not the country), college at #MillersvilleUniversity in #Lancaster.
Spent a lot of time in #Hummelstown (near #Hershey - yes the milk chocolate place - miss living near #Troegs) and socializing #Harrisburg!

This may sound weird to some of you, but today, I spent more time being productive at work then I did being engaged with the Mastodon / federated community. Felt good! #powerbi (not my favorite, but it's paying bills!)
Tomorrow I'll be tweaking some #python to improve an #azurefunction that selects files and delivers them somewhere. (Vagueness for confidentiality!)
But I _am_ enjoying the community. Even if I cannot use #markdown in my posts like I really want to...
