The Art of War is one of my favourite Sabaton albums as it articulates very clearly the cost of war (more so in the original release than in the re-armed edition, which includes Swedish Pagans and kind of kills the mood with its bonus tracks). This track, about the trench warfare of WWI, is one of my favourite of theirs.

I really, really liked Turisas. Power/folk metal via rock opera, focused on narrative epics about when Viking societies encountered my part of the world. You'd repeatedly find me at the front of the wall of death in paint and leather armour. This nonsense is directly responsible for a few of the times I've broken my nose and ribs.
