I like today's theme for #TuneTuesday. #RentFreeTracks, or #Ohrwurms, as I like to call them.
A lot of that music for me comes from when I was a kid. Many of the soundtracks for #Amiga games were amazing, and they're still holding up today (but that might just be me being nostalgic). The hardware back then was very limited, of course. But that makes what some artists got out of it even more impressive.
Since this is TuneTuesday, I'm not linking a dozen or so tracks here. Just two. Because #MachinaeSupremacy have captured what I felt (and feel) about those songs very well in their covers / medleys.

Sure it's a decent #PowerMetal'ish song I guess. The thing is, they used to have a unique sound in #SidMetal, and I don't get why they gave that up entirely to sound more generic. -

I just started this video of #Priest @ #Hellfest2025 because I don't know the band and the preview image looked intriguing.And I can totally whistle along the intro, because it's the same song #MachinaeSupremacy used in one of their cover medleys. I'll have to check which one, but it's probably from a 90's computer game soundtrack.
Also, it's not a metal band at all, they remind me of #ProjectPitchfork actually.

I'm browsing through my top artists of all time on last.fm, and I'm surprised at how few of the bands I've been listening to recently make the top of the list, and on the other hand, what bands are at the top.
Top 1 are #PorcupineTree. Well, OK, but it's been a while.
2 are #MachinaeSupremacy. Again, long time no listen.The list goes on. First "recent" band is #OrphanedLand at 7 and #LongDistanceCalling at 9. Then #OceansOfSlumber at 32. #Vola, impressively, is at 39.
We're already on page two now: #LaVelaPuerca is 55 and that was a very long time ago. 56 is #TheAnchoret (wheee) and 57 is #Wheel. #Avkrvst are at 66.

Ich hab via #Bandcamp mal in #MasterBootRecord reingehört und die bewegen sich so zwischen #MachinaeSupremacy (vor allem #JetsNGuns Ära) und #TheAlgorithm. Ab und zu mal ganz gut, muss aber nicht dauernd.

Das lang erwartete #Hoodie Update:
Der #Soulsplitter Hoodie ist sehr bequem! Sehr weiches und angenehmes Material. Auf dem linken Arm ist ein Schriftzug. Ich mag dieses Asymmetrie, mein #MachinaeSupremacy hat das auch.
Das Loch in der linken Tasche, durch das man Kopfhörerkabel ziehen kann, ist mit einem Metallring verstärkt, so dass es voraussichtlich nicht ausfranst oder einreißt.
Zur Fusseligkeit kann ich noch nichts sagen, dafür muss ich ihn noch etwas tragen. -
