My Monteverdi platform TUI view uses the tcell go library and it recognizes Ghostty with no problem, but today I discovered that mtr complains it doesn't recognize xterm-ghostty.
I see there's some consternation about Ghostty using its own terminfo and I feel like going ... well sonny, back in my day we had to echo terminfo into the amber 80x20 terminal CRT character by character with a lit match just to get BACKSPACE to work!
Anyway, yelling at cloud gets me nowhere. To get mtr to work I aliased it with an env var:
mtr: aliased to sudo TERM=xterm-256color mtr
But I agree with @mitchellh on that crazy issue thread. It's a terminal emulator and that's the whole fucking point of terminfo in the first place.

First time user of ghostty terminal + starship prompt, tried it out on the new work lappie and liked it so much I've now got it on my personal. The bloatware on iTerm2 has gotten to the tipping point for me, and this is just a wonderful replacement. Thank you @mitchellh for making the tech world a better place!!

Yes, I've noticed that in #FOSS realms there's a rapid change to the development processes that are followed. Where projects no longer allow people to just contribute PR's.
In many github projects for instance you should first start a Discussion and get dev team's consent to create an Issue, which you may then create a PR for. Any other direct contributions are either disallowed or immediately closed.
There was also this Vouch reputation system that got popularity real quick. And there'll be more changes like that I think.

I've been looking at #ForgeFed and how it is set up. Currently it models very much the application model of what constitutes a typical "Code forge", but this is restrictive and going from lowest common denominator between forges. There's opportunity here to focus on the domain of "Software development" and the (social) coding processes between all stakeholders.

I've been told your #Rails leader uses #Alacritty as his terminal emulator - part of their Linux "distribution"...
That above has accelerated my _need_ to move to something else since I had some other issues - besides being kind-of-slow in my environment...
So, starting today I'm changing to #Ghostty, by @mitchellh
Ghostty is neat, and works perfectly with my current setup: #tmux + #ViM on both, macOS and Linux.
