That story is delightful and if I were a child of a same-sex couple it would be really validating to know that it wasn’t unnatural and it was super fine and I was a normal kid…
So obviously the GOP can’t let it near any kids. It might groom them to be woke or whatever word salad DeSantis and Abbott are bandying about these days.

I’m getting into some controversial reading today - this is one of the most controversial books in America. Why? It’s the true story of two male penguins who are seen trying to hatch a rock, so are given an egg. They hatch the egg it appears. I’m nervously excited.
I hope it doesn’t make me gay - that would be a real bummer for my family. I’d have to start a whole new life. Im glad our kids are being protected. I’ll report back.

I’ve posted several Under Attack posts today - it’s because they’re attacking on all fronts at one time. They’ve been building toward this for 40+ years and now they’re striking.

Well we aren’t getting a first - it’s #LGBTQ, it’s #Women, it’s #minorities, it’s #PoliticalEnemies, it’s #Freedom and it’s the goddamned #Constitution. It’s ALL OF US and the #Democracy we cherish.

This despicable fear of #otherness is a futile attempt for #WhiteSupremacy to further entrench itself into law.
It will not work, but neither did the #ThirdReich - that doesn’t lessen the devastation they were allowed to inflict on #marginalized communities.
It’s time to stand - they’re attacking all fronts. We must repel and shame them forever.

For what it’s worth I’ve got 60,000 miles of being driven by #OpenPilot in a 2018 Honda Accord. That’s engagement-free, no hands, no feet - most likely being an idiot on my phone level 2 self driving.
Tesla is probably better at several things but this is a $1200 device in an $18k (from before times when car prices were normal) car.
Even better in a Corolla or a Prius because they have more steering torque.
