"ON (ook bekend als #OngehoordNederland) ligt onder vuur vanwege een online-uitzending van eind juli waarin een uitspraak van #AdolfHitler werd besproken. In het fragment ageert #Hitler tegen een "ontwortelde internationale kliek", waarbij iemand in het publiek #Juden! roept.
Presentatrice #ArletteAdriani legde hoofdredacteur #JoostNiemöller en presentatrice #RaisaBlommestijn naar aanleiding van dit fragment een stelling voor: "De kosmopolitische elite staat noodgedwongen wezenlijk vijandig tegenover het gewone gewortelde volk". Daarop zeiden de twee dat ze het daarmee eens zijn.
#Niemöller zei dat #Hitler bepaalde dingen "gewoon heel goed" zei. Ook zei hij dat er "bepaalde dingen van Hitler" zijn die hij ook vindt, los van het antisemitisme van de Duitse leider. Beiden benadrukken expliciet niet al het gedachtengoed van de Duitse dictator te delen."
Dus soms zei Hitler ook wel eens dingen waar ze het niet mee eens waren. 🙄

Es läuft in den USA alles ab wie im Lehrbuch über den #Faschismus und wie z.B. in der Gedenkstätte "Haus der Wannseekonferenz" für Nazi-Deutschland dokumentiert: Die Gruppe der Menschen, die ihre Bürgerrechte nach und nach verlieren, wird immer größer. Genau, wie #Niemöller es schon formuliert hatte¹.
Nun wird jeder US-Bürger ein mögliches Opfer von Willkürherrschaft: Die Regierung will jedem US-Bürger nach Belieben den Pass entziehen können:

Many enthusiastically share pastor #MartinNiemöller's famous poem “I remained silent”, and there's no doubt they do so with the best of intentions, but I hesitate to praise #Niemöller.
- Wishing to fight for his fatherland out of “Lutheran ethos”, he appealed to Hitler to serve as a submarine commander.
- While he was later deported to KZ Sachsenhausen's “honourable bunker”, he also proudly embraced radical #antisemitism.
- He only added the “When they came for the #Jews” line after 1945. -
In this context, most people would be surprised to learn that the author of that poem (Martin #Niemöller) was an #antisemite, and an early supporter of #Hitler.
He was driven by nationalism and antisemitism in a rather peculiar way, believing that the Nazis might be sort of helpful for his proselytizing among Jews, for "winning them over" to Lutheranism.
Only when he realized that the Nazis would not spare his newly "won" fellow believers either, he started to oppose the respective legislation. This got him imprisoned under "protective custody" in concentration camps, until the end of the war.

Twee van de drie leden van de raad van toezicht van aspirant-omroep Ongehoord Nederland (ON!) zijn per direct opgestapt. Voorzitter van de raad Bauke Geersing maakte dinsdag zelf zijn vertrek bekend. Ook zijn medelid Frank Ruesink stapt per direct op.
