My submission: Just now I went outside. I saw lots of plants and a few people. Most of the people said hi to me as they passed, and I said hi back! None of them were weird about me being in a wheelchair, even some very small children who were probably shorter than the wheelchair wheels.
I wore a scarf with a pattern of bumblebees, it was very cozy :D

Truly inspired by “I woke up and chose” a video about craftivism, a term used by #Resisters” and craft, crafters, artists. #Craft #Crafters #Fiberarts @inherentlee was discussing and I didn’t want to butt in so instead I did a search in Ecosia browser to find out about Katherine Vike who was mentionned.
Oh my a woman after my own heart, um, over a teensy part of me that is introverted. Her stories of protest and resistance movements are inspiring. It’s not a wonder that MSM doesn’t mention much those who are adding their efforts one by one to build effective loud voices to protest.
This is a short video I recommend to all who organize protests, doesn’t matter what kind. The concept of adding powerful resistance in quieter ways but building big numbers of volunteers who cannot be ignored.

Somehow in the run up to #fediZineFest I managed to completely forget that Easter is a thing where I live (and print shops and post offices close during public holidays 😬), then forgot my PIN when I went to print on the day before Easter, then tried again the same day but meanwhile my bank card had been disabled, then went again the first day after Easter, only to forget the exact number of zines I had to print, so had to go again the next day...

I really do enjoy fedi a lot, although it can be difficult to get a good sense of connection to community sometimes -- this has been my experience with basically all social media. I never really understood how people were able to make so many online friends.
Maybe this is a common experience on fedi, or maybe some of y'all just wanna do something fun. In either case, I'm curious to know if anyone might be interested in some kind of fedi penpal thing? You pick a penpal or two (probably based on shared interests or something like that) and it gives you a social excuse to make a new online friend who you might see pop up in different places on Mastodon.
Maybe you start sending each other emails about how your days have been going, attaching your next move to your long-form chess game at the end of each note. Maybe you just text each other with Mastodon's built-in DMs, or over Signal or something. Maybe you start tagging each other in public threads. You might share your different little projects with each other, like photography, programming, art, etc.
Anyways, I'm curious if this would be the type of thing anyone on here would possibly be interested in if I made something for it?
I've been slightly inspired by how well the https://fedilearns.fyi/ site took off that @inherentlee built, figured I might try my hand at a slightly less ambitious community-building effort of my own. Not sure if this would be best suited to a website necessarily -- maybe a fedigroup would be nice? -- but anyways, it'll be something! :)

any #printmaking folks who use speedy carve/speedy cut/similar: how do you store your blocks?
my transfer process makes my blocks slightly tacky, so i can't store them stacked. right now I've got piles of them with plastic sheeting in between. thinking of getting some plastic accordion folders or similar but figured I would ask...?
