Also picked this up for $5 yesterday. It’s a replacement for the copy I had with a significant amount of surface noise.
While this band verges on corny, as musicians there’s no denying they were very tight. I personally like Patty Donahue’s vocals tho I can understand if they’re not everyone’s cup of tea.
Was 80s new wave the last time having a full time saxophone member of your band fairly common? (Outside of ska).

In an action of absolute madness. I couldn't sleep Thursday night so decided to queue for Record Store Day early. So it was basically 2 hours sleep. Started queuing at 5am. What surprised me was 15 mins later. Someone else joined me then another 15 someone else. The 3 of us until probably 7 am then 4 until 9am 6 followed then by more people as the day went on. 27 hours later got what I wanted and came home. Fell asleep for bit in the afternoon but went back to bed at 10pm and slept for 12 hours.
So thats 3 hours sleep in 48 hours. Madness.

The K-Tel record, what's up with that?
I've been tinkering with an autobiographical records-of-my-life--I want to say--"project" (for lack of better description at this point). So there's no specific song I bought it for, it's more the _vibe_ (as the kids say). It represents that period of my young life where school dances and top 40 and, yes, K-Tel records were my first musical independence, not just taste handed down from my older brothers.
