Acaba de pasar la ISS por mi cabeza, incluso la pude ver con mis propios ojos en su recorrido de punta a punta, pero no la pude escuchar lo suficiente como para decodificar una imagen 🥲, evidentemente con las antenas originales del handys no me va a alcanzar, me acomodo mejor para la próxima! #ISS #SSTV #UHF

Die letzten Tage wurde intensiv an der #MakerSpaceAPI gearbeitet mit unterschiedlichen Funktionen. Jetzt sind unsere Getränkekasse, Bankomat und Maschinenverwaltung in einer Datenbank. Neu hinzugekommen ist ein Ausleihsystem mit #ESP32 für #Werkzeug mit #UHF Tags. Alles ansonsten weiterhin basierend auf #NFC Tags für die Nutzenden.

Позиционирование - это один из интереснейших кейсов применения радиосвязи. Да что там кейс - это целый мир. Там своя логика, свои законы (без противоречий с физикой) и свои принципы построения. Но, главное. Там свои задачи. В этой статье я сделаю обзор трех самых популярных технологий для indoor/outdoor позиционирования и расскажу о самом подходе к вычислению положения объекта. Сразу договоримся - мы рассматриваем только локальные методы, такие, где все железо и софт целиком разворачивается нашими руками. Потому из этого обзора исключены GPS, ГЛОНАСС, трекинг по сотовым сетям и прочие вещи, требующие сторонней инфраструктуры. Ну что ж, раз-два-три-четыре-пять, мы идем искать…

If you have a #qrz1 Explorer HT and programmed it with CHIRP and it does a weird thing where it's receiving a signal from a repeater but it will not break the squelch, I found a workaround that should at least fix the issue for some of the repeaters:
In CHIRP go to View -> Show Extra Fields
In your saved QRZ-1 config find the affected repeater(s)
Change the Optional Signaling option to OFF
Save the config and upload it to the radio

Do I want one of these? YES.
But as far as I can tell, they're strictly illegal in the United States, as there is zero allowance for even ultra-low-power #VHF and #UHF signal broadcast without a license.
Am I missing something here or are all the USians using one of these just playing with fire til the #feds knock down their door and raid their #homelab?
