Hello all. I have started work to collect sounds from old synths samplers and toys, collecting work from all places on the net to keep these things alive. If you wish to help me out with or have something I don't let me know! I've set up a folder so all can join on syncthing, but if yall want to I can always put it up on Resilio or something.

User came on Discord today complaining how hard it was to configure RAW mode on BlueSCSI - they were right! So I automated it all.
Seems samplers users like the RAW partitioned SD workflow instead of images.
This also allows you to pop in a SCSI2SD card into your BlueSCSI for a easy upgrade.

Soundfonts & SFZ
5. The samplers of today are nothing like the samplers of years before. Largely, gone are the days of hardware samplers that can play chromatically & polyphonically using real multisamples that include seamless loop points, & cross fading. Samplers that can still do that are almost exclusively found in software plugins. I’ve found only a couple of exceptions.
Sf2 & SFZ are excellent choices!

I often see posts by people who look down upon Soundfonts and SFZ. Here’s some food for thought for these legendary underdogs:

If when creating new instruments in SFZ format, the creator of the instrument doesn't know how to add the needed information to make the SFZ file capable of expression, then the instrument remains unexpressive...lifeless. This is not the fault of the SFZ, but because the creator doesn't have the programming skills.
