Despite attempts by politicians and law enforcement to keep locals from mobilizing against a neo-Nazi led demonstration, residents of Dearborn, MI again stood strong in the face pardoned J6er Jake Lang, holding a racist anti-Muslim rally in front of a city council meeting. Community members took to the streets and shouted down swastika waving white supremacists and Trump supporters, while Lang spoke in front of the Dearborn city council, pushing GOP talking points that Muslims would be used by the Democrats "to instill socialism in America."
After being pardoned by Trump, Lang has carried out a series of far-Right stunts and rallies; being arrested across the US for engaging in various violent episodes of racist shock and intimidation, while begging on various online far-Right and neo-Nazi platforms for donations. While largely seen as a laughing stock even within white supremacist circles, for this anti-Muslim rally following the primary election victory of Abdul El-Sayed, Lang received support from Lorenzo Sewell, a MAGA pastor connected to the wider Turning Point USA network, the Republican Party, and Christian Nationalists.
Waving swastika flags and carrying signs in support of ICE, racist anti-Muslim protesters rallied behind Lang, with various white supremacist factions taking part in the demonstration.
Hungry for online clout and cash, Lang has already called for another racist protest in Minneapolis next week, dubbing it a "N****r March," and a counter-demonstration is already called.
Fascists like Lang exist to try and divide the working-class against itself in an effort to benefit the ruling-class. In his speech in front of the Dearborn city council, Lang falsely claimed that Muslims would soon "out-breed" white people and “steal our wealth," while the Republican party pushes tax cuts for billionaires and corporations, helps the AI industry build data centers and automate away jobs, and pushes ICE to round-up and attack blue-collar workers. The rich need fascists like Lang to popularize hatred and division so they can continue to rob us blind.
The hundreds that turned out recently against washed up former Border Patrol goon Greg Bovino in Indiana and yesterday in #Dearborn, MI shows that people aren't going to let these racist freaks take the streets without a fight.
