  4. It's a new release of Librecast! 🎉

We've added recursive directory syncing to librecast. It's still very experimental, we had fun testing it by syncing the linux kernel.

    It's available on Sourcehut.

    git.sr.ht/~librecast/librecast

For IPv6 Access it's available on Codeberg.

    codeberg.org/librecast/libreca

More information on the changes for 0.8 can be found on our change log.

This release would not have been possible without @NGIZero as part of #NGIAssure

  15. is a diff capable du browser.

When gt5 is first run it catalogs each file recursively from the current directory, noting the sizes. It then outputs an HTML file listing their sizes along with their paths.

The next time gt5 is run it updates the filesizes, plainly displaying the difference since the last run in the output.

It is recommended that links is used for viewing the output.

  17. NEW BIML Bibliography entry

    arxiv.org/abs/2503.03150

Position: Model Collapse Does Not Mean What You Think

Rylan Schaeffer, Joshua Kazdan, Alvan Caleb Arulandu, Sanmi Koyejo

We think recursive pollution is a better term than model collapse. Weak terminology leads to misunderstanding of impact. See figure 4. This is a very good paper.

  20. Useful use cases:

How to remove all empty directories?

How to recursively count all the files in a directory?

How to find files based on owner name, owner id, group name, or group id?

Or the files which are not owned by any user or group?
