@LauraKT I was booted off twatter in 2020 with 21k followers for daring to quote BJ's "**** in a ditch" at someone. I appealed to the UK boss of Twitter on linkedin telling him that it was meant as joke and he replied it was a matter of opinion, I had previously caused him grief when I reported Hatie Kopkins to Twitter for hate speech and tagged Twitter Safety US, Trump's was retweeting her hate speech. #TwitterExile

Day 7 on Mastodon: it's been a great week, basically I'm hooked and looking forward to discovering more and more features and cool stuff in the user experience and some serious api tech that I will be trying out soon.
So happy to have found old social media contacts, some that I haven't really engaged with for years.
I'll be doing weekly updates from now on maybe as articles on my blog.

As I'm not #Twitter anymore I'm trying #FollowbackFriday on the good old contraversal #FBPE today to see if it builds community here in Europe, and find my old connections.
I assume it's different on a decentralized network where "discovery" isn't really built in, but as a #Europhile and Anti-Brexit Hard-Rejoiner it helped me in the past to discover the voices who cover the topic well and stay connected.
I know not everyone is into "hashtagging to follow" so I'm checking the vibe is it cool?

Day 6 on Mastodon: I've really gotten used to using @Mastodon now & still trying out apps and features it's starting feel more natural and somethings better than other platforms. I'm getting in the habit of tagging, descriptions for images, using hashtags for search and reference rather than for jumping on a trending hashtag or trying to boost a trending hashtag.
I'm spreading the word on Fakebook so friends will join the #TwitterMigration!
