Each night: shut off your phone, meditate, take a hot bath, and fall asleep with an audiobook.It’s simple, but it’s helped me wind down, rest deeper, and reset for the next day.
IT work (and life) can be chaotic. But the quiet moments, the ones we choose to protect, make all the difference.

What’s one small thing you’ve done that made your systems noticeably more secure or stable?
Could be an alias, a config tweak, a tool, or a habit.
Sometimes it’s not the big overhauls that save the day but the five-minute fixes.I’ll start: teaching students how to lock down SSH access properly has saved me hours of future troubleshooting.

Burnout doesn’t always come from too much work. Sometimes it’s from carrying too much weight in the background. Between ongoing parenting hurdles and the usual chaos of life, I’ve learned how important it is to pause and protect your bandwidth.
This weekend, I’m planning to unplug (a little), recharge, and remind myself that progress isn’t just professional ! It’s personal.

Hi! I’m an IT guy, working mostly with #MECM to get OS builds, patches, software, etc out to a 30k+ device financial services environment.
I enjoy spending time with my wife and our two boys, playing video games (poorly), reading, hiking, golf, and the list goes on.

I just found out you don’t need to reserve seven racks for SAP just to keep the support contract from some German TLA IBM spinoff. My inner IT guy is crying and laughing at the same time.
All those server racks locked up for SAP—and you can’t even touch them or break the contract. The dream: those SAP racks finally gone, support contracts less scary, and you actually get to use your server room for, well, things that matter.
When you realize you're not the only one who lost server real estate to SAP contracts, there’s this quiet satisfaction in knowing it’s finally getting fixed.

@Downshift: Such data collection and misuse is one of the reasons why I love my #2CV. It hasn't any electronics ex factory. The only electronics in it are the gadgets I have added myself. It has no AI, no cameras, no ears. Maybe a soul, though. 😉 (And I do say that as an IT guy. An IT security guy, though, including occupational paranoia. 😎)

Now that #Quebec is seizing the #GiveSendGo funding for the truckers, what's needed is for a large group of contributors to set up a make-shift #Hawala money-trading network up there.
