Ok, so THIS might be interesting to use - an #RSS Dashboard plugin for #Obsidian. At first my kneejerk naysay mode tried to kick in telling me we should keep to horses for courses and that Obsidian is a personal knowledge management #pkm app, not a #newsreader, but.. if you can find news articles and easily hyperlink them within your Obs notes or copy text from them to a note, all in the same interface, that could be kinda useful. Expand thy brain, Dhry! ☝️

It is a week to go before we set off on our drive to Namibia to attempt the FRC.
Like last year on social media, there is a lot of hype and naysayers, saying that there is not water and that the canyon should be closed.
This year, the biggest story is that a group of 13 people had to be airlifted due to dehydration. Even the print media got wind of this one. This is a small % of people as compared to those already having made it through successfully. We are hearing group was unfit & did not manage their walk and water.
Like last year, there is not an abundance of water in the canyon. Namibia is suffering from a cycle of dry years.
It will be a challenge for us, but we are confident. We have planned well. We are relying on on-the-ground info that comes in via experienced guides as to the best location of water.
