@DerBote mit Mastodon geht das normal mW nicht, mit u.a. #Firefish, #Hubzilla geht es standardmäßig schon lange. Evtl. verwendet mastodon.scot einen Mastodon-Fork wie #Ecko ?

There is a fork of Mastodon that has a bunch of features I know many people wish Mastodon had:
• longer posts,
• more poll choices,
• favicon update from web console,
• markdown support,...
I wonder if it is a soft-fork or a hard-fork. I.e., are they still pulling in all the latest Mastodon code.

#Calckey und #Misskey sind ja doch noch recht ähnlich, weil Calckey ja ein Fork von Misskey ist.wenn es "nur" um die Zeichenbegrenzung geht, wäre evtl. auch eine Mastodon-Instanz oder einer der Forks wie #Ecko mit mehr Zeichen sinnvoll: https://contentnation.net/de/favstarmafia/artikel2

#Smalltown: Allows admins to enable or disable DMs, private posts, private accounts, bookmarks, links, and the configuration of custom icons and favicons. Adds a “post queue”, which forces admins to approve posts before they are published, the “post digest”, an admin-curated selection of posts that are sent to users once each day, “featured topics”, which is essentially a configurable bundling of hashtags, and the ability to restore deleted posts. All #Mastodon branding has also been removed.
#Ecko: Unclear, although the about page of the flagship instance claims that it is “unblocking”, so perhaps blocking and muting is disabled.
#Hometown: Local-only posting, in-line full blog post support, exclusive lists (you can add users to lists without their posts being in the home timeline), themes, and custom max post limits.

Is the intention that it will be mastodon + additional features, or will it drift further away from #Mastodon?
I've just set up an Ecko server, and I'm now wondering whether following #hashtags, pinned posts, and other features of Mastodon 4 are going to be implemented soon™️, or whether there is a forum for such discussions?

Wenig überraschend wurde Matthias #Ecke wohl von Faschos zusammen geschlagen. Und die #AfD kann sich darauf ausruhen, dass die Typen ja bei den Freien Sachsen mitlaufen. Die noch rechteren #Nazis also die nützlichen Idioten der anderen Nazis. Ein bisschen wie die Judäische Volksfront.
