תפרתי לעצמי שמלה חדשה הבוקר, איזה כיף! וזה לקח רק שעתיים וקצת, כולל העתקת גזרה משמלה קיימת – שמלה שחורה של קסטרו שיש לה בד קצת מחוספס ולא נעים.
הגב די פתוח ונחמד להתאוורר בקיץ, אז לא שיניתי. רק הארכתי טיפה את החצאית.
בעיקר שמחה שהספקתי להתחיל ולסיים פרויקט ברצף. מאז סבב הלחימה הקודם זה לא קורה הרבה.

The quest to learn the Palmer/Pletsch fitting method continued this morning. Denny came into the workroom so that Kane and I could practice with a mens shirt bodice. We went from zero to a near perfect fit in 90 minutes.

That's how long it usually takes just to get all of the measurements for all other drafting methods.

So. Ich hab Schulterpolster gemacht und es macht einen gewaltig fantastischen Unterschied 🤩 und ich hab nen zweiten mock-up gemacht, denn 18 von 20 Schnittteilen wurden verändert 😁🤭

Und jetzt geht's daran den richtigen Stoff zu bügeln und zu schneiden. Bin bisschen nervös.

Faszinierenderweise muss ich die Taille höher setzen als für gewöhnlich. Scheinbar war das in den 40ern eine andere Mode 😅 (sonst schiebe ich ja die Taille immer weiter runter)
