I'm trying to create an #alias in the #bashrc for the command-line tool #pwgen. I want to exclude certain characters using the "-cnys -r" switch. Because this also affects characters that cause the command to abort (such as " and '), I only get an error message. I'm familiar with exclusion markers, but the usual suspects, "\" or "/," are also part of the excluded string. I can't find a suitable solution online. #taskwarrior Problem:
task 9 has tasks 1-7 as dependencies.
report.list lists them in the correct order: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7.
report.long, on the other hand, lists them in 1, 3, 4, 2, 5, 6, 7, so task 2 isn't where it belongs.
I've looked at the details and experimented with "show report", but nothing changes this behavior. What am I missing?

Prinzipiell ist #broot ein feiner Dateimanager für #Linux, aber dessen Dokumentation ist einfach Schrott. Um ihm abzugewöhnen PDFs immer mit #GIMP zu öffnen, habe ich mich mal eingelesen. Aber die Doku fängt schon mit einem Fehler an: dort steht als Beispiel "default_flags: -gh", doch damit erhält man beim Start des Programm nur ein "Unable to parse"-Error, weil das Minus "-" falsch ist. Ohne klappt es. Egal, ob definierte Verzeichnisse nach Datum zu sortieren oder eben PDFs mit #muPDF zu öffnen, alle meine Versuche in verschiedensten Varianten waren erfolglos. Ist natürlich Schade, so ein gutes Programm zu entwickeln und bei der Doku dann derartig zu pfuschen.
Na gut, #vifm und #ranger reichen mir grundsätzlich natürlich ;-)

Doch Rettung naht in Form des statistischen Bundesamtes, das der #Wirtschaft hilfreich zur Seite springt und die zweistelligen Teuerungsraten auf z.Z. 3,8 % angeblicher #Inflation schön rechnet. Verbraucher werden nach Strich und Faden betrogen und skrupellos ausgeschlachtet.

I just can't get my #graphicstablet to work the way I did under #Debian. Basically, the #Medion device works with the #wacom driver. In my 2-monitor mode, however, it is split in the middle, which is rather inconvenient for drawing. In Debian, a two-line #shell file was sufficient, with which I could continuously switch through the states "Both -> Left -> Right" using a keyboard shortcut. Now under #ArchLinux, it just doesn't work anymore. Does anyone know where I'm confused? #Arch #Linux

Wegen vermeintlicher Verhandlungsunfähigkeit wurde der #CumEx Prozess gegen #Olearius eingestellt. Sein Steuerdiebstahl bleibt somit ungesühnt. Das hält ihn jedoch nicht davon ab, nun die ehemalige Staatsanwältin zu verklagen.
Wer keinen moralischen Kompass besitzt, dem fehlt natürlich auch die Fähigkeit zur Einsicht. Egal wie alt, solch asozialer Abschaum gehört ins Gefängnis. Das ist für dieses Pack genau der richtige Ort zum Sterben.

Nein, natürlich wundere ich mich nicht, dass schäbige Menschen widerwärtigste Dinge machen. Mit #KI können sie jetzt abstoßende Sachen erstellen, zu denen sie selbst nicht fähig sind. Was mich jedoch zutiefst erschüttert, ist, wie viel Zuspruch dieser Dünnschiss erhält und wie wenig dagegen unternommen wird.

Now the crap that has been happening on the notebook for a while is also starting on the PC. When I open an image in the #Mastodon #cli client #tut, it is displayed with #feh as intended. To close it again, the #ESC key was enough. But now this leads to a completely black window (no prompt either) and the PC is audibly under load. I can only stop it by rigorously closing the #Terminal window. #btop shows me that #tut and not #feh is responsible for this. It is probably not the fault of tut itself, but of some library that has been updated in the meantime. All I can do is wait and hope.

Jetzt geht der Mist, der schon länger auf dem Notebook passiert, auch auf dem PC los. Wenn ich im #Mastodon #cli Client #tut ein Bild öffne, wird das wie vorgesehen mit #feh angezeigt. Um es wieder zu schließen, genügte bislang die #ESC-Taste. Jetzt führt das jedoch zu einem komplett schwarzen Fenster (auch kein Prompt) und der PC steht hörbar unter Last. Nur durch rigoroses Schließen des #Terminal-Fensters kann ich das beenden. #btop zeigt mir, dass dafür auch #tut und nicht etwa #feh verantwortlich ist. Wahrscheinlich liegt das nicht an tut selbst, sondern irgendeine Bibliothek, die zwischenzeitlich mal aktualisiert wurde. Mir bleibt nur warten und hoffen.

Seit dem 28. März holt mein #RSS-Reader #newsboat keine News mehr vom Nachrichtenportal #NeuesDeutschland ab. Keine Ahnung, ob die Software hier einen Fehler hat oder es von dort aktiv verhindert wird?

Mi blog se trasladó ayer al nuevo #vServer de forma silenciosa y sin problemas. Si bien las páginas #html puras siempre se han cargado rápidamente, ahora las cosas son un poco más rápidas. Ahora todos los movimientos están hechos y es hora de crear contenido nuevo. 😉

So, that's it, #Yunohost is history. It's a shame, it sounded like a good project, but it wasn't right for me. My requirements probably deviate too much from the standard. I've had enough of fiddling around with it for days. #Plesk disgusts me, but at least it made what didn't work with Yunohost.
Only the console email program #aerc refuses (still), even though it works in #Thunderbird. It would be great if configuring #Server didn't require any gymnastics. #Linux #VPS #vServer

So, das war es dann, #Yunohost ist Geschichte. Schade, klang nach einem guten Projekt, aber passte nicht zu mir. Wahrscheinlich weichen meine Anforderungen zu sehr vom Standard ab. Mich tagelang herumärgern reicht irgendwann. #Plesk widert mich zwar an, doch damit hat das, was mit Yunohost nicht klappte, wenigstens funktioniert.
Nur das Konsolen E-Mail-Programm #aerc weigert sich (noch), obwohl es in #Thunderbird funktioniert. Wäre ja auch zu schön, wenn #Server konfigurieren keine Klimmzüge benötigen würde. #Linux #VPS #vServer

Because my web host has increased the prices, I have rented a #vServer again, although I lack the motivation to constantly configure it. I had already decided some time ago to try #Yunohost in this case.
But I'm already annoyed because I had the #VPS installed with #Debian12 and Yunohost requires #Debian11. I'll try it anyway, but I'll be pretty annoyed if it goes wrong.

@almn76 emacs eine GUI? Ja, aber es liegt doch immer in zwei Versionen vor, wovon die eine im Terminal läuft? Egal, vielleicht probiere ich es irgendwann nochmal ;-)
Medienkonvertierung brauche ich nur, um meine gekauften CDs in mp3 umzuwandeln. Da macht #asunder einen passablen Dienst. Ich habe schon von #abcde gelesen, dass wohl das Pendant auf der Konsole ist. Mal sehen, ob ich mich da herantraue.
