Because my web host has increased the prices, I have rented a #vServer again, although I lack the motivation to constantly configure it. I had already decided some time ago to try #Yunohost in this case.
But I'm already annoyed because I had the #VPS installed with #Debian12 and Yunohost requires #Debian11. I'll try it anyway, but I'll be pretty annoyed if it goes wrong.

Weil mein Webhoster die Preise erhöht hat, habe ich mir nun doch wieder einen #vServer gemietet, obwohl mir die Motivation für dessen ständiger Konfiguration fehlt. Schon vor geraumer Zeit hatte ich für diesen Fall beschlossen, dann einmal #Yunohost auszuprobieren.
Aber ich bin schon jetzt genervt, weil ich den #VPS mit #Debian12 installieren ließ und Yunohost #Debian11 verlangt. Ich werde es trotzdem versuchen, werde aber ziemlich angefressen sein, wenn es schiefgeht. 😤

Je passe de #Debian11 à #Debian12 en suivant la recette d'un blog, à base de modifs des dépôts sources.list, d'apt-update et d'upgrade, avec les options qui vont bien, par étapes, avant reboot.
Pis mon dpkg me dit qu'il manque plein de dépendances et que l'indolent polkit ne veut pas se configurer.
Je sais même pas qui c'est çui là !
Mais apparemment il a plein d'ami.e.s qui boycottent l'installation si lui n'est pas invité.
Et v'là mon vieux PC qui veut pu marcher qu'à moitié, et ne me parle qu'en QWERTY. -

Does anyone here know anything about why my #proxmox VMs for #debian12 just *will not* run cloud-init?
I have downloaded the "genericcloud" images and configured a cloudinit disk on proxmox but unlike when I did the same thing with #debian11 no cloudinit things happen on boot, so no hostname SSH keys etc.

Upgraded a virtual server from #Debian11 to #Debian12 and it worked perfectly, no errors during the upgrade or on reboot. Currently upgrading a laptop that my wife tends to use, leaving only one laptop to go and my two core servers - one at home and one remote. Everything else has been upgraded for months, but I've held back on the servers for a while to avoid any disruption.

Pro tip: you can upgrade #DreamCompute's #Debian11 image to #Debian12, I just did it a few hours ago by following #Debian's release notes upgrade guide. There might be a #Linux kernel listed as a dropped package, but if you're using a newer one you can probably remove it just fine. Back up your configs and installed packages first, though.

I'm on the fence, should I leave #OpenMediaVault that's on #Debian11 or switch to #Debian12 and just use the command line instead of a webui?
Edit: I use it as a nfs server, samba server, and running my docker services.

Llevo usando toda una semana #debian11 en su versión #estable de manera en mi laptop Asus VivoBook y puedo llegar a las siguientes conclusiones:
1. No me volvió a fallar el wifi en ningún momento.
2. A pesar de ser la versión de gnome 3.38 bastante tosco, el rendimiento va mas que sobrado y me ha demostrado porque muchas personas adoran debían.
3. Luego de instalar el kernel xanmod 6.2.... pues tocaba probar haciendo primero el día de ayer un directo vía youtube con múltiples trabajos al mismo tiempo y todo controlado y bastante satisfecho.
4. El día de hoy me toco probar para jugar, por lo que tuve que irme a jugar CSGO y los resultados fueron mejor de lo esperado. (No juego habitualmente aunque compre algunos juegos y los tengo ahí).
Finalmente debo concluir que esta versión se ha asentado mejor de lo que esperaba, dándome una sensación de estabilidad, comodidad y jugabilidad. Esperemos que debian 12 mantenga esa misma magia con mi laptop, de ser así, pues creo que encontré mi centro de gravedad con debian.
Que esperar de debian12??? pues, personalmente espero un salto muy cuantificable sobretodo en gnome por el paso de 3.38 a la versión 44 con la que calculo va a quedar en su versión estable.
No quiero decirme que ya soy debianita, pero ya les digo que me ha dado mejor sensación que mi amada fedora...llegara a reemplazarla definitivamente....solo el tiempo dirá.

Bon, moi je suis quand même bien embêté. #ISPConfig ne supporte pas #Mailman3, et #Debian11 ne supporte plus #Mailman2... Donc en gros, il n'y a plus de #serveur de listes de discussions intégré à ISPConfig 😔 C'était quand même bien pratique.
Y a bien cet article de @kepon qui a décidé de migrer sur #Sympa, mais du coup on perd l'intégration à ISPConfig. Cf. https://david.mercereau.info/ispconfig-migrer-mailman2-vers-sympa

(Or doesn't XMMS2 have that #WinAmp UI anymore? Can't remember as I no more use #GUI music players anymore for quite some years. I just use an #xterm and the #CLI #mediaplayer #mpv. Also works for many video streaming portals.)
