  1. And, that isn't all, as it also opens up potential to replace with modern options like or , at least for my machines.

  2. I realized never worked for me because I maintained my /boot inside an encrypted volume alongside /, /home, etc.

  3. This week has been full of major improvements to my setup across my . I now have:
    1. Significantly faster boot times due to quicker decryption by separating out and into separate volumes.
    2. Upgrade from to (while most of the rest of my setup)
    3. Better visuals for LUKS passphrase prompts using (finally)

I couldn't have asked for more improvements in barely two days.

  4. I attempted to document my fragmented learning in the world of before becomes a thing: youtube.com/watch?v=hgYzSX98ArU

  5. @DevWouter I just revisited the website and saw a lifetime license. I do understand that the workflow with is pretty interactive in a way that one would need a larger workspace to be able to use it effectively, but by any chance, do you have plans for a mobile app? In case you do, and would need more brains/fingers/eyes, I can hook you up with a few experts who can help you move faster.

  6. @virtuous_sloth My setup involves a fairly over complex graph on , but I'd rather keep web bookmarks on . Flat lists don't work for me, especially once they grow tall such that I'm not able to see all the items at once.

  7. @kaosk @killyourfm I do not know, but it somehow reminds me of , which had one of my close circles convinced and we had to deal with difficult-to-use clients that were an overkill for merely sharing text messages, a few pictures here and there.

  8. I accidentally started on an machine, and it ran, that too without the `--unsupported-gpu` flag. Now, when did that happen?

  9. @DevWouter My ever-growing setup is super complex with nested lists, tags, filters, and I'm pretty much at the edge of outgrowing , as I did with a year or so ago. It will be interesting to visualize my tasks in two dimensions instead of just a one-dimensional list.

  10. I've read people mention how feels better made than even the , but I, for some reason, find it a little rough in comparison. I'm not sure if I'll be able to make my way through, especially including sections involving the "ubermorph", but I might as well push myself as far as I can go.

  11. Revisiting is an experience of a kind, reminding me of an experience of a kind back then. Having played , I not only notice a slight lack of polish, but it also reminds me of how smooth modern have become.

  12. Every problem comes with a learning. This was freezing randomly, and as a part of the diagnosis, I learned about +. Since then, I've been running these tests on all my machines. 🤓

  13. Yet another compliment (this time from a driver) proves the same thing: a dirty car is more likely to get compliments.

  14. I could go as far back as , which this machine comes with, but setting up an older environment with the right version of , , etc., is a challenge.

  15. Attempt 04: is amazing, and after some quick tweaks, it could also be used inside a window, the config file is straightforward, and has text-scale and clipboard, but opening multiple terminals doesn't seem to be a thing there, and all that's there is a tabbed interface. Nope!

  16. Attempt 03: I found , which is blazing fast, and though I managed to replicate my color themes pretty closely to what I like using the ".Xresources" file, getting text-zoom and clipboard to work is a little too much work for my "portable" need.

  17. Passing through and and landing on , I finally realize why this series has such a sizable fanbase.

  18. I humbly seek your for our ingratitude toward the gifts you bestowed upon us. I implore you, in my , that in the creation of future universes, those who seek to might be compelled to grant the rest the agency to 'opt-in' to any path of .

  20. After using for a while, I realized that I cannot type "Dell XPS" in a single attempt anymore. 🤓

  24. Finally gave a try for some relatively larger files and realized that it was probably not such a good idea. The whole system slows down while accessing the encrypted directory and after about an hour of struggle (and a forced reboot), it left a "dent" on my volume. Lesson learned: use Cryfs only for smaller files.
