Unfortunately @OmniFocus doesn't have a Linux App (and i don't want to use the webclient w/ a seperate subscription by the way...)

So i'm looking for a cross platform taskmanager, with end-to-end encrypted sync.
Anyone in the Fediverse found a good App?

I tried Superproductivity, but the sync was horrible, and the app is buggy ':(

macOS TickTick + Google Calendar прямо на десктопе через Übersicht

Не нашел на хабре информации про эту замечательную опенсорсную программу - Übersicht. Xочу поделится опытом как у меня получилось решить мою боль с постоянным забыванием, что нужно сделать и что запланировано. Последней каплей стал случай на работе, когда меня спрашивают про тайминг очередной встречи, я залезаю в рабочий календарь Битрикса - все пусто, говорю да я свободен, а потом через час вспоминаю что на это время записан к зубному и дальше переговоры переносы и прочее, а можно было. бы решить вопрос за 2 секунды. Конечно вы скажете сам виноват, делай стикеры на монитор, веди все в одном месте, открывай нужные программы, это да но лень, я только недавано приучил себя использовать таск менеджеры, и заносить туда информацию, это мне еще ориентироваться на то что я там записал?) Начну с таск менеджеров. Я долго искал таск-менеджер, который бы не был просто «еще одним приложением», куда я забрасываю дела и забываю про них. Мне было важно видеть свои задачи, а не вспоминать, что нужно открыть очередную программу и проверить, что там на сегодня. Календарь в Google — понятно, встречи там. А задачи и напоминания? Todoist, Things, Singularity, напоминания Apple — это все хорошо, но каждый раз лезть в отдельную программу, это лишние 10–15 секунд, которые отбивают всякое желание планировать. Todoist я долго пользовался, почти год но мне не хватало одной важной фишки: Вот Календарь с задачами и встречами и справа тут же окно с не распределенным задачами и можно драгдропом перекинуть их в нужный день и в нужное место.

Pues ya me cansé. Después de usar (en versión PRO) #Todoist y #TickTick, vuelvo a #AppleRecordatorios. Para el uso que le doy, no merece la pena pagar por las suscripciones PRO.
Libres autoalojadas, he probado Tududi y Tasktrove, pero lo de repetir tareas unos días concretos a la semana, no lo llevan bien y le falta maduración. Así que con la aplicación de #Apple voy más que servido.

Dopo più di otto anni ho salutato #Todoist. È stato un ottimo servizio e per me molto utile, ma le recenti decisioni relative al prezzo mi hanno lasciato con queste due opzioni parimenti antipatiche:

1. Continuare a pagare per un servizio che non avrebbe più ricevuto tutti gli aggiornamenti;
2. Accettare un aumento di prezzo di più del 100% (nel mio caso), ingiustificato per l’uso che faccio del software.

Quindi ho preso la terza via: salutarli. Per ora sono su #TickTick, poi si vedrà.

Être diagnostiqué #TDAH (sans le H pour moi), c’est bien.

Mais comment on fait pour vivre avec ?

Ma recette (presque) magique, c’est #TickTick pour l’outil, et #PARA pour la méthode. Vraiment, ça a changé ma vie. Vraiment.

I was puzzled why the Command-Shift-P shortcut in #VSCode / #Cursor for the suddenly stopped working. Turns out that shortcut was captured by a new app #TickTick that I had just installed to start a Pomodoro.

Also solved the other mystery my TickTick kept asking me to take a break from time to time. 🤦‍♂️

@techlifeweb #Ticktick. It’s the culmination of many years of researching and testing upwards of maybe 30-40 task management systems. I know Todoist is one of the darlings of the todo field and has been forever, but TT outshines it in many areas. Outshone perhaps, since I haven’t reevaluated Todoist in many months, but TT checks every single box I ever had for a personal tskmgmt system.

Once I return to work I will also return to my custom task system using #Trello. More complex but necessary.

@DevWouter My ever-growing setup is super complex with nested lists, tags, filters, and I'm pretty much at the edge of outgrowing #TickTick, as I did with #RememberTheMilk a year or so ago. It will be interesting to visualize my tasks in two dimensions instead of just a one-dimensional list.

I’ve tried them all. #Notion, #Todoist, #Things3, #OmniFocus, #Asana, #Trello, #AnyDo, #TickTick. I even built my own todo app once (spoiler: I never finished it). After years of productivity app hopping, I’m back to where I started: a plain text file called todo.txt

My savior is #TickTick. It has everything I need, centralized in one single app.

No, it is not open-source. But man, it does the job. And I need to get the job done, not to tweak and groom complex systems.

I've actually been meaning to write a blog post in detail about my hunt since there's a lot more I would cover than the quick responses I've given to that question.

#Obsidian is comprehensive, far better than its competitors (such as they are) and free.

#Ticktick is extremely quick to enter tasks, instant syncing and a great free plan.

Decided I don't need a multi-monitor setup in the mancave (where my #Windows PC resides) anymore. I do most of the stuff that requires dual-monitor out in the lounge these days on the #Mac. And the mancave desk needs more available space on it for other crap beyond a monitor that just displays the #Ticktick tasks that I have due and a couple of sticky notes that I can essentially archive anyway.

Learned earlier today that you can rightclick on an #obsidian note in the file list, select “copy Obsidian URL” then eg paste it into #TickTick and it makes a link directly to the note in Obsidian. Which is cool. The link itself is in the format obsidian:// and I haven’t found out how to make that a LIVE CLICKABLE link on its own, but in TickTick I just wrap it in markdown manually and it works. ie [Obsidian link](obsidian://blah). I’m sure there’s a way to enable it in the OS though. Maybe.

@ChristinWhite It's basically a text editor. Great for storing text. Todos, AFAIC, have dimensions to them that Obsidian cannot provide. Assigning to someone. Reminders and alarms and notifications on your phone WITHOUT running the master app. Quick add of tasks from eg the iPhone lock screen. Natural date parsing. I can put [X] inline with text until the cows come home, but it's always going to be text no matter how much the plugin fiddles the on-screen display. #TickTick is my go-to.

@ark After spending years trying out different notetaking and task mgmt systems I settled on #TickTick and #Obsidian, BUT the key is to *simplify*. I put every task I have into TT with a default due date of "today". I have a daily journal page in Obsidian where I list things I did and I link to pages with more detail if needed. I update those pages with the detailed status of each activity *if needed*. TT just lists all my tasks, uncategorized. No methodology, no complicated flow.

Un nuevo reporte en mi aventura #switching. He estado buscando una app de tareas tipo Todoist para remplazar a la que llevo años usando: @things. Cuestiones: que fuera multiplataforma (Mac, iOS y Linux) y software libre.

La cosa está complicada y la propuesta más habitual es @joplinapp, que ya uso para las notas y mezclarlas con las tareas me da toc 😆

De momento estoy usando #TickTick, que no es software libre pero que cumple bien. Pero sigo buscando.
