  1. @DevWouter My ever-growing setup is super complex with nested lists, tags, filters, and I'm pretty much at the edge of outgrowing #TickTick, as I did with #RememberTheMilk a year or so ago. It will be interesting to visualize my tasks in two dimensions instead of just a one-dimensional list.

  6. An effective comparison of the free versions of #RememberTheMilk and #Todoist, examining essential features such as recurring tasks, task limits, smart lists, and integrations to assist users in selecting the most suitable productivity tool. #RTM https://deuts.org/p/rtm-vs-todoist-free/

  7. @jleverenz I used to keep coming back to #RememberTheMilk for a very long time. But I think now I'm ready to move on to #Todoist. Their API is more robust, and the documentation is aplenty.

  8. Now my Remember the Milk tasks list is clear. Hope I enjoy my stay with #Todoist. #RTM #RememberTheMilk

  9. I'm not even sure if it's a good decision to stick with #RememberTheMilk. It's an old system, with hardly any improvements introduced in the recent years. Just look at their forums, a lot of feature requests that remained open, for quite a number of years even. #RTM #Productivity

  10. Logged into Remember The Milk 🐮 (RTM) this morning to see this notification and the idea of some sort of "Spotify Wrapped" for a task manager me chuckle.

Anyway, RTM is a really nice tool for task tracking and has been going for 20 years. 🤯

    Long live Remember The Milk!

  15. Every week I have to check to make sure that #Microsoft hasn't applied the whammy on me, for their #SelfServicePurchase bullshit with fucking #Copilot. I had all the #Powershell commands, but they are strangely gone from where I knew I put them. So I added them to the Stickies app in my Windows 10 laptop, the Stickies on my Mac, the Notes on my Mac, my Bear.app Journal, and my #RememberTheMilk task list, as notes. NOTES EVERYWHERE. God damn it. LOL. #infotech #today #GodDamnMicrosoft

  16. Thinking about going back to Remember the Milk. Somehow what's old is new again. Lots to like: Cross platform (including web), Android widget support, import from the Todoist, and a cute cow icon. | Remember The Milk: Online to-do list and task management rememberthemilk.com/ #productivity #rememberthemilk #rtm

  17. I decided to not renew my very long lived #RememberTheMilk subscription. I probably stopped using it regularly years ago, but I'd say it's still one of the best todo list tools of it's kind I've found. I just moved on to lower tech, long-ass lists.

I've always been a little curious about their business and the people behind it, and admired what seemed like a sense of "we built this thing, it's done, we hope you like it". I didn't mind leaving my subscription active past my regular use of it.

  20. #rememberthemilk issue fixed (much earlier today) and they sent me the post mortem link. status.rememberthemilk.com/inc Good work from that team.

  21. #rememberthemilk currently unavailable for me. This is the first time[*] since I joined in 2008. On the one hand, that's great going. On the other hand I'm still struggling a bit as a result. Oddly, their status site says the key services are fine.

[*] That I can remember. But of course remembering things is a bit compromised right now.

  22. Given all the things that I discover in every day, I don't think I would ever be able to go back to .

  23. @shepgo I know of anylist, but never used myself. I'll check it out.

I don't have troubles with todoist itself. This is more of a power user excess than anything else. Like, I also have event hooks to optimize it. So not exactly common usage. 😅

My experience with todoist sharing has been very good. In comparison, sharing was kind of terrible. Only reason I moved after 10+ years. 😅 That and still having to use xml for some of the api. 🫠

  24. Just found out has a limit on label count. 😮‍💨 Going to need to get creative on label reuse. 😅

Though it took me a few years, since migrating from , to find out. 😅 Now I'm curious. How many labels did I have on rtm... Probably in the thousands. 🤣

  25. Next in my series on how and what I #SelfHost: #Photo #Workflows

I'm a #photographer, sometimes I use a DSLR, but usually just random shots from my #Android phone.

    Details in thread 🧵

  26. Been using about a year and change from . Mostly out of need to have more than just myself using it. 😅 That and integrations with todoist are everywhere.

That said, every day I'm reminded why I used it for 10+ years.🙁 Search composition alone is a monstrous feature. Wished todoist handled more user experience bits like rtm has.

  27. I updated my shell aliases/functions for #RememberTheMilk, so now I just have one "shop" function that outputs my shopping list (with no arguments) or adds to it (with an argument)

  29. #RememberTheMilk のサブタスク機能、やっぱこれじゃないなー感がしてきた。

  30. I've been looking for an opensource web app alternative to #rememberthemilk and #todoist for a long time.

I use #orgmode myself, but people I recommend #GTD to can't use it. Any idea?

  31. @marybennet y yo tan contento con #evernote o la lista de tareas de #google por lo menos hasta que salga una versión en el #fediverse de este tipo de recursos como #rememberTheMilk :P
