  1. I initially resisted wireless AirPods due to the added inconvenience of charging them. However, a necessary phone upgrade, which lacked a headphone jack, prompted me to finally try them. I used AirPods for about six or seven months. Recently, I acquired a high-quality pair of wired earphones, and in the past month, I haven't felt the need to use my wireless headphones since. I'm quite content with this change.

  6. Postgres is actually all you need. No need to build a complex setup of different databases.

I use postgres for all data storage requirements. I've been using it as a vector store too. It's been holding up very nicely.

  9. Hey #fediverse, I want to connect to more people here.

I am a #MachineLearning engineer who has experience with #python, #golang, #php, #JavaScript, some #rust, C & C++. I also love research and have a paper published in #CVPR. Currently, I am using #AI for improving the safety on the roads. I've worked as full-stack engineer in the past.

I find this platform and people here awesome. I've had amazing interactions and want to grow them.

  10. Is there some blog which describes the ActivityPub in terms of implementation how everything should be built?
This can be done by reading existing codes for software such as #plemora or #mastodon but having detailed blog is a must have.

I've been working on my personal implementation for learning how #ActivityPub works and there are lots of questions for which I have to read lots of different codes to get the answers.

  11. What database migration tool is most popular these days?

I am looking for framework, language and database agnostic migration tool.

I've used $DBMate in past. This is framework agnostic but isn't database agnostic. Raw SQL is needed for the migrations which can be slightly different for some databases.

  16. BTW, if someone is thinking backdoors only exist in the #OpenSource software then this is not true. Finding such backdoors in Open Source software is easy because it is being reviewed by lots of researchers and programmers. Every PR is available for the world to see and verify. The closed source software could take years to find backdoors.

Project #ghostbuster from #meta is another data harvesting trick from users without their consent which can be used by Meta to make their apps and features appealing to the end-users and reduce competition within the social media space. This is pretty huge privacy concern and no one should be allowed to use anyone's data without their consent.
