Human waste, tires, toxic chemicals, etc) and set it on fire. The burn pits were constantly burning, and the soldiers on base were constantly breathing in all the toxic chemicals. -

The way the USA uses veterans while simultaneously fucking them over is abhorrent. The #burnpit law that republicans in the senate halted in its tracks is so typical of the way they do business. In the USA, nothing is more patriotic than military service. However, as Jon Stewart said yesterday, we (vets) get cast as heroes, not human beings. That means politicians get to use as a reason to vote for them because patriotism, but they don’t need to take care of us, because we are heroes, and heroes can handle anything without help.
