Ask yourself, what's the least bad option available -- is it to play chicken with someone who is willing to die for their cause?
To me, that's the dumbest thing to do, and yet, so many people claim putting economic pressure on Tehran will cause them to capitulate. Like, are you fucking serious or just ignorant of what you would do if placed in the same position as Tehran?
I call bullshit on anyone who says they would rationally determine that they would capitulate when faced with an existential threat. Let me cut your nose off, then.
