UPDATE 2: “Due to improved conditions,” SCE has canceled the shutoff alert for the Brennan circuit today, Sunday, Oct. 12.
Potentially affecting 25 customers in Thousand Oaks, Southern California Edison advises that a public safety power shutoff (PSPS) event is possible on Sunday, Oct. 12 between 6 am and noon. This is on SCE’s Brennan circuit, which mainly serves Moorpark, Simi Valley, and the Santa Rosa Valley. More info at sce.com/psps

Wildfire prevention and preparedness is always top of mind, never more so than now.
Here’s an overview of ongoing efforts by COSCA, the joint powers agency between the city and CRPD, to protect open space and educate residents on risk reduction. We’re also working with other agencies, from the federal to the county level, on additional preparedness and resiliency measures.
