It's so amazing in the Vivaldi Browser that one simple bookmark folder feature could completely transform how I organize my bookmarks.
Simply by allowing infinite number of separators in a given folder, I was able to remove whole swathes of nested "More" subfolders that can be cumbersome to mouse through, just to better organize items and to shunt off less-used ones.
Browsing is even more a delight for me now.

I got frustrated for the last time with website rendering and UI in Safari, and so in two days this week, I went through two browsers. First I went to Opera, based on using it decades ago, but it was clunky. Then I remember hearing about Vivaldi Browser and wow, I love it! Took hours of work to make these two transitions, but I'm glad I did.

Maybe i give Vivaldi Browser a short instead of Firefox. Based on Chrome and not completely Open Source on the other hand the project leader dont want to integrate AI and its Europe based

Dear Vivaldi,
I like your web browser, and have been very vocal concerning the support and adaption of Vivaldi Browser. But for a company, whose browser starts up claiming "Made with Love in Europe", you picked a company (Proton) that falls under Us Jurisdiction, whose CEO supports Donald Trump and his fellow, Nazis. I am greatly disappointed.

I have been working on a list of businesses outside Us Jurisdiction. On that list is a whole list of VPN providers, outside Us Jurisdiction, which Vivaldi could have easily picked from.

What happened to Vivaldi Browser?
Vivaldi Browser is now bundled with Proton VPN. But Proton (the company) is a registered business in the United States.
There are 200 or so independent countries, territories, and states world-wide. But as you know, corporations do not include terms and conditions for all 200 or so geographical jurisdictions. Businesses only include and worry about the jurisdictions that apply to them.
That said, I would much rather let their own legal documentation speak for itself. Here are their terms concerning Proton. It has whole sections concerning US Customers and US Laws. https://proton.me/wallet/terms A company outside Us Law would not care about American laws, anymore than you would likely care about the law in North Korea, for example.
Proton would like to argue, likely from a public relations standing point, that these terms only apply to Proton Wallet. But that is not how our laws work in the United States. You do not get to pick and choose which department is subject to US Law, anymore than you get to pick which Us Laws you want to follow.
I am really disappointed that Vivaldi Browser, would bundle a company, is clearly subject to Us Laws and Us Jurisdiction.

I can no longer recommend Vivaldi web browser, since it now bundles, software, governed under Us Law.
Unfortunately, Vivavlid, was the last web browser, not to be subject to the laws of the United States, China, or Russia.

I have a bucketload of #Kindle books, so not closing my account. That said, I haven't actually purchased anything from an #Amazon-connected anything for several years.
#Unsubscribe from their #emails, or send them directly to your #spam bucket. Delete any #browser #bookmarks.
(BTW, I highly recommend the #VivaldiWebBrowser, which I've been using for awhile.
Aside from #blocking #trackers and #ads, my favorite #feature is a toggle to force #darkMode on every page.

I really like the way #VivaldiWebBrowser the RSS feed is integrated in my inbox, for instance. I just read my emails and my blogs in a single streak.
(Yeah, you read that right, Vivaldi features a full-fledged email / agenda / rss client if you need it)

You could use it to browse the web, but you can customize it to become a very powerful workhorse.

In the #browserwars @Vivaldi is the clear winner on my side.
I regularly try out new (and old) competitors, like Arc, Firefox, Orion, Zen... but I keep coming back to it.

So, I saw that #VivaldiWebBrowser puts a link to #Mastodon on their new user's start page. It's to their own instance and feeds popular user's toots. (Sorry, I just love calling them toots.) Way to go #Vivaldi! Their instance shows 7K users.

I really like that you can pin stuff to the sidebar in @Vivaldi browser.
Ever since I pinned Radio Garden there, I use that 'panel' every day to have my screen time accompanied by the sound of my favourite radio station.

Today I installed #VivaldiWebBrowser and oh my gosh, I love it already! So many customization options to make it behave exactly the way I like it, and not confusing to use. The settings panel is so much easier to use compared to the original Chromium settings panel. It still supports all my favorite manifest v2 plugins and they want to keep it that way as long as possible.
No AI bullshit, no tracking bullshit as long as I don't enable it, and as fast as I am used to with Chromium. Very nice! -
So far my only issue with the #Vivaldi browser is its performance is TERRIBLE whenever I'm streaming video. If I'm doing something else, like playing a game, I can notice it locking up every few seconds. Close the streaming video tab and it's fine.
I saw someone mention to turn off hardware acceleration in settings and it seemed like that fixed it momentarily but not anymore.
Anyone else experience that?
