@dhamlinmusic I don't know if you felt it in your spirit but I blessed your name this entire afternoon because you made my life soooo happy. I was having no joy getting help from the regular #VerizonWireless number so I took a page out of your book, and called their number for customers with disabilities and I got the lovely Rhonda who was located right here in our fair land and she fixed everything right up for me. So yay, yay her, yay me.

Well, it's not often I get a story that has a happy ending. But today I got one. After researching I found there was indeed an email address for Verizon's executive customer service team so I wrote them and documented my situation including dates and time stamps of text chat responses I'd gotten from #VerizonWireless. Within an hour of sending that message I did receive a reply text and a phone call from the executive team and the lovely #Parthina was able to lower my bill so I can remain on #VerizonWireless for another year. #Yay her! 📱 Of course I'll keep documentation of everything and that email address and her phone contact in case it's ever needed again. I'll complain when I must but also like to give praise when it's due.

I just spent the past 2 hours talking via text and phone to #VerizonWireless bots. The future does not look bright at all. #CustomerDisservice

Oh, no they did not. I called on June 18th just as I was told to do so as to preserve my #VerizonWireless discount and was told it'd be maintained. Now I get my bill and it's jumped up some $40 or so. That will not remain I assure you.

I spent more time quizzing a Verizon publicist about this bundle of announcements than I’d expected because the advance copy of the company’s press release left out so many details–and then I still had to revise the post Tuesday morning with additional information about its new Verizon One bundle of home and mobile broadband.

6/18/2026: AI at the Edge: Smarter Decisions, Less Latency, Unify 2026

The Connectivity Standards Alliance, the trade group behind the Matter standard for connected-home devices, hosted a conference in Austin and saw fit to include me in the proceedings (and to pay me a stipend for my work as a panel moderator). My spot on the program was this panel featuring Felipe Benavides, head of partnerships at Liquid AI; Alan Coleman, chief product officer of Plume; Colin Cureton, product line vice president for  home business at Silicon Labs; and Rolf de Vegt, vice president of technical standards at Qualcomm. We spent 45 minutes unpacking what on-device AI models can do for gadgets ranging from light bulbs to dishwashers to thermostats–in particular, about the privacy upsides of sending less data to cloud services.

Well that was a shock, even though I had #VerizonWireless restore the loyalty discounts that had expired on my account and even though they told me I'd have them deducted before auto pay came out of my account they were not. So now supposedly I have a credit on June's bill for it and now I'm told to call at the beginning of the last billing cycle rather than after that bill ends so I'm off to update all of my reminders for such things.

I knew some of my #VerizonWireless loyalty discounts were set to expire in April. Then I promptly forgot about it until my bill came today. I did not get upset, I did not panic, I just called them, got a human agent and politely asked if they could be extended and so they were for another year. Then I updated my reminder file on my pc and will update my reminders on my phone for such things and the pursuit is successful.

"My Moon My Man" was used in a #VerizonWireless #LGChocolate commercial, and featured in the #GreysAnatomy episode "#LetTheTruthSting". The song was played almost in its entirety in the #HeatedRivalry episode "#Rose" for the montage at its beginning.

Thanks To Trump, Verizon Immediately Starts Making It Harder To Switch Mobile Carriers

In case any other #Blind people are trying to redeem their outage credit from #VerizonWireless the process isn't exactly straightforward. However, here's what I've found. Whether you click on the link in the text provided or merely just sign into the My Verizon app when you call into Verizon their automated phone system will tell you to click on take action. on the #iOS side you'll find nothing that VoiceOver renders saying "take action" but swipe until you get to your shortcuts one of 7 adjustable area. Then swipe up once and you'll hear something about actions. Double tap there and you'll be able to redeem your $20 credit on the resulting screen if you're eligible.

Speaking of things Wireless Mobile I just got my #Activation/UpgradeFees removed from my bill. Thank you #VerizonWireless.

Although the recent and perhaps on-going #VerizonWireless outage didn't seem to impact my corner of the world I have been told of a couple where one person had service while another didn't in another State. Anyway, it has me reconsidering getting something like an Ooma device just to have a VOIP landline around just in case. I bet this will make my friend @SteveSawczyn smile.

Wait, what? I thought #VerizonWireless announced they had new customer service hours from 8:00 AM till midnight. I could not have imagined this thing, could I have? I feel like i'm losing what's left of my mind. This is not my week for customer service at all. My #VisualVoicemail won't activate on my #Pixel. I want to surrender.

I was just on a phone call with the lovely Belle a rep from #VerizonWireless. I can't tell you how many times she thanked me for being nice during our 25 minute call. While it made me smile it also made me sad. What a commentary on our society when we're surprised by kindness and congeniality.

Speaking of #VerizonWireless their #611 means of calling into them for assistance wasn't working this morning but their toll-free number was working just fine it was very strange.

After you remove all the Meta apps, in Android, go to settings, go to apps, click on "see all", in the top right corner click on that 3 dot button, click show system apps.

Many of you have some Meta / Facebook apps built in to run in the background, even if you do not have an account with us. -- Some of you will be able to select the app and select "disable". Some of you will not have this option.

Well, that was fascinating. The phone number I was porting got stuck in #VerizonWireless systems so I couldn't institute Call Filter Plus nor make any other account changes. Now that they've gotten that sorted life can hopefully proceed as normal. I'm still not sure if Call Filter Plus is worth it but at least for now I'd rather have it than not so that's that done.

Dear #ChatGPT I do love you so. I asked you to tell me how to change my number on #VerizonWireless in their app forr #iOS using #VoiceOver and your instructions were so spot on that I just got a new number for my newest phone that just plain makes me happy. It's the silliest thing but it makes me so happy.

Ooh isn't this fascinating, on #VerizonWireless i can change one of my numbers online or in the app at no cost. This is exciting since I hate my most recent phone number it just won't stay in my head, not that I use it for anything mind you it's just the principle of the thing. I remember the good old days when one could pick their entire number. I was very fortunate back then.

So far #VerizonWireless' department for customers with disabilities is not shining. The reps seem to know little about the needs of #Blind customers. I, am, not, impressed. It might cost them further business.

I'm on hold with #VerizonWireless to see if I can obtain my bill in #Braille while still maintaining my apperless discount as I can with 3Xfinity services.

To any of my #Techy friends did anyone hear anything about any issues with #VerizonWireless this morning? I couldn't get texts for a good hour and a half and of course didn't even know there was an issue till a friend who was coming anyway said she'd been texting me throughout the morning and hadn't gotten an answer. A reboot of the phone set things right but that was bizarre and disconcerting as I had no clue anything was amiss until she told me.

So E-Sim was supposed to make things easier. I'm on hold because old phone is telling me e-sim can't transfer to new phone and no one knows why. Thanks #VerizonWireless.
