Happy Birthday to #BillyJoel .
One of the greatest songwriters and performers of the last 100 years.
Never completely accepted by critics (note: a good thing) he—like #TheBeatles —made a point of grounding his wildly creative music in classical tropes. And did most of it through a fog of personal alcoholism and trauma.
I highly recommend this documentary; both as an honest window to him, but also as a primer on greatness in general.
