My remark shouldn't be about "fix it yourself". it was all about culture, a culture of "here's a (real!) gift", "let's get together" and "we are not selling your data", "you are not the cash cow for us", "you are not our business model", "we don't try to make money from your communication needs" and "no it's not the business of a crazy billionaire deciding what he likes as free speech and what not" and "no we are not serving any major company with your profile to feed the marketing industry".
Mastodon is mainly made by a guy from Germany and his non-profit(!) organization. If you talk about different cultures, I think this is worth noting it... -

Isn't one of the main advantages of the #fediverse and #activitypub (#mastodon ...) it's #foss! You are not only allowed to have your own instance, you are encouraged(!) to have one. The protocol is forever free to use and the #software is free and #opensource too and so are some apps as well. It's all very uncommercial. (Wonderful for someone from Europe btw. ☺️)

But it was just a fake. Just a pawn of his mentor, a media oligarch, and NATO pawn himself. And that has cost thousands of dead, the real victims of this geostrategic game. And you are fueling this, just because it is not your son who will be killed in the war.

#Western / #NATO can do "horrible crimes" but their sport men are not banned, their banks are not banned, the other world power countries don't use their instructors to help their #army nor give for free tons of #weapons. And that is OK.
But #Russia is different. It deserves all of this, and much more, because #Putin is evil (not like any of the #USAmerican presidents, responsible for millions of deaths the last 40 years (400,000 only on #Irak).
Simply, #westerns are #hypocrite. We are the owners of the #World, and the other countries simply are our #colonies. And we act in consequence.
Another example: Russia has not the right to have missile basis in #Cuba, but #USAmerica can have them in the #BalticStates or #Ukraine. More of the 2 ways to measure hypocrisy stuff.
