To many observers, the filing of court briefs seems governed by a principle made famous by Orson Wells¹, speaking for Paul Masson Wine²: "We will sell no wine before its time."

There are deadlines, and filings are made to meet them and rarely any other schedule. Sometimes this is due diligence to get the best arguments, sometimes the facts or law change. Maybe sometimes this is not surprising the judge who plans a calendar assuming this for non-emergencies.

So the update for Wolff v. Melania Trump (26-1674) Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/73521566/wolff-v-trump/ is merely that we do not expect to see the actual appeal opening brief until October.(Author Wolff is trying to get Melania to back away from the threats to launch a lawsuit in Florida which is chilling his First Amendment rights and the District Court was more like "Yeah, she shouldn't do that but what do you want me to do about it.") Even if the federal courts don't want to touch it, he would like to try in New York State Court where he filed suit originally.

Planet sitting on a throne and there is always some people complaining about the scale 🙂

This is the TF version of Marvel’s Ego as the whole TF mythos was invented by the #Marvel folks. Maybe a bit of Death Star in there as well, but there is really not a real resemblance apart from both being a huge ball. A bit of Galactus was also sprinkled on it, especially with the hunger and herald elements.

Transformers Cybertron Unicron is a weird toy. It's sold as actually being Unicron, but smaller and de-powred after being defeated. I prefer to think of him as one of those Unicron cultists from the Transformers comics. He has a weird crab-themed tank mode, and awesome light piping!

Wild to see people on a friend's Facebook post throwing an absolute FIT over Hasbro "reissuing" HasLab stuff today when it's pretty clear from how fast they sold out that they were just clearing out a few spares. Unicron sold out in less than a minute. Victory Saber was gone in two. I'd be surprised if they had more than a dozen of either of them. But no, Hasbro LIED and REISSUED them. 😑
