I glued magnets to my controller so I can stick my phone's magnetic grip onto it

I think the mag-safe ring was originally an Apple thing, but there's cases for Android phones with an identically-sized magnetic ring, so it's sort of a de facto standard connector now. My phone has a popsocket grip held on by one of these magnet rings. And when I mount my phone in this controller mount, I have to remove the popsocket anyway or it doesn't fit. So now it can stick to the back and be a kickstand!
I've done this once before by gluing a metal plate there, but it kept peeling off. These magnets came pre-bonded to some sort of plastic ring that I'm hoping will bond properly to the super glue.
Her name is Buttons! She was originally a ps4 controller I bought used on ebay for like $30, but at this point I've probably done $100 of mods to her, lol. Yea I could have bought a Dualsense Edge for that price but I think this is more fun.
