I'm going to challenge this line of thinking.Millions have been seriously hurt by 14 years of #ToryAusterity (or longer nroliberalism). That may be a source of pain, but IMO it is *not* the cause of the violence.
IMO, the violence is caused by rightwing hatemongering towards immigrants accelerated by years of #Tory normalisation of violence (eg "go home" vans, Royal Navy patrolling the channel, Rwanda policy, etc). Also, a bit of anger over GE loss

According to a Tory minister on #LBC just now, the level of spending cuts that the Tories/Treasury have priced in as a result of the last budget amount to approximately 75% of those under Cameron/Osborne. Some departments are ring fenced, but basically that means massive cuts to public services and support for the most vulnerable.
Starmer and Reeves have said that they aren't going to raise taxes, but they've also said that there won't be a return to Tory austerity. So that means they're either lying (possible), mathematically illiterate (equally possible), or are going to borrow a shed load (also possible) just like the pork markets woman.

Grim seasons greetings from the Aberdeenshire council through the door today. A pamphlet about being “prepared for winter” which feels like a euphemism for #toryausterity. Food Pantries or Food Banks, whatever you call them Penny Mordaunt, they would not be needed if the Tory party had not decimated the country over the past decade and more.
Increase the living wage in line with inflation and the population may, just may, be able to afford their food and bills without falling into destitution.
Profits from your book don't cut it.
