π΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ Ώπ Bus passengers in #Aberdeen City and #Aberdeenshire will benefit from a Β£2 single-fare cap from April 2027, as the #Scottish #Government expands the scheme across North East #Scotland.
The move forms part of the Governmentβs ambition to introduce a nationwide Β£2 Bus Fare Cap, helping ease cost-of-living pressures and encouraging more people to use public #transport.
The scheme has already been introduced in the Highlands and Islands and across Strathclyde. Transport Scotland will work with bus operators, local authorities and regional transport partners to prepare for the expansion.
Further details on participating operators and eligible services will be announced before the launch. The Government aims to extend the cap across Scotland during the current parliamentary term.

The imposing south front of Delgatie Castle near Turriff in Aberdeenshire. With origins dating back as far as 1030 and much of it built in the 1570s, the castle was restored as a family home of immense character in the 1950s.
