After several misfires (#PacificDrive, #VRising, #Titanfall2) I finally found a game to get me off #DaysGone for a while. It's a space trucking sim with realistic gravitation and orbital physics named #FlightOfNova. I love its mixed pacing of hectic ship management during start/orbital station docking/planetfall and the zen-like stages of orbiting the planet and taking in the scenery. Titanfall 2 is currently on sale for $3 on Steam. This game remains one of my favorite shooters of all time and 8 years later still has one of the most fun campaigns I’ve played and an incredibly active multiplayer community. If you somehow missed this game, I cannot imagine a better value. And despite EA’s best efforts, it runs on the Steam Deck!

When I was growing up, this meant lots of #Goldeneye and #PerfectDark on the #N65 (#Nintendo64). At university, it meant lots and lots of #Halo with folks living on my hall. Nowadays it means nostalgia with #GoldeneyeSource (an online multiplayer version built on the Half Life 2 game engine) with a bit of #Titanfall2 and #CSGO mixed in. I've never personally gotten the appeal of 3rd person perspective for shooters, but if you're a fan maybe you can tell me why?
