After finally getting around to finishing Metroid Prime Remastered, I gathered the courage to finish my first run of Metroid Dread.
Man what a game. Definitely one of my favourite metroidvanias.
It’s been way overdue, as I pre-ordered Dread, started playing day one and dropped it when I got stuck at the last boss. I then (foolishly) decided to turn it into a 100% run and dropped that too eventually.

Today I finally beat Metroid Prime Remastered for the first time.
It took me over 36h, which is largely because I took a long break (twice) in between and didn't take notes until quite late in the game.
The other mistake I made was that I noticed I was already at 88% items on my own and decided to go for 100% to see the best ending. Without prior noted this was a grind an the ending did not make up for it.
Good game otherwise.

I always recommend to play Metroid: Zero Mission and Metroid Prime to start on the #Metroid franchise.
If you like Zero mission: Super Metroid (redux), then Metroid: Samus Returns, Metroid Fusion and Metroid Dread.
If you like Prime: Prime 2 Echoes, Prime 3 Corruption.
The rest of Metroid games only amount to a YouTube summary and a post on BlueSky.

Their newer sales numbers are not to brag about, given how much #Nintendo invested on the game alone across two studios.
I believe the next #MetroidPrime5 will not have a huge investment in development. Who knows if they pivot to Unreal Engine 5 to keep costs down instead of their own engine + training.
