Every 'Best Metroidvania' list always ignores one of my all-time favorites, Tevi. I get that the Hollow Knights of the world are technically superior, but I still wish it got included. Is its bullet hell/platforming hybrid gameplay for everyone? Probably not. Is its dorky anime storyline any good? Nah, but you can shut that off.
Is it a gem with beautiful pixel art, some great music, and generally all-around super fun to play?
Yes. Yes it is.
