I tried to solo the queen in #ARCRaiders, but it clearly takes more wolfpacks than I can carry. Other people showed up too, so whatever. It was a fun attempt.

With today's (anti-cheat) update, #Embark appears to have locked out all #ArcRaiders #Linux players from the game. Hopefully unintentionally.
There are already dozens of reports from Linux / #SteamDeck users who are being kicked for allegedly using "prohibited software." I'm experiencing the same issue right now & am currently unable to play my favourite game.
Now we'll have to see whether this is a bug, intention or yet another case of the "we only support Windows, sorry bye bye"-middlefinger

Arc Raiders #pico8 demake Soundtrack is dermaßen lit 🔥!!
Despite the very limited sound capacities of this nonreal 8bit console, this brings so much happy vibes with it!
And for nerds there are references to 1337 old-skuhl C64 composers/soundtracks like Martin Galway or the Maniac Mansion title screen and what not... even a pumping side channel compression simulation (not really possible at this system) is there! ;) .
So much phun!!

#ARCRaiders has been suffering from an item dupe problem for a while. This guy (The Gaming Merchant) has been diving deeper and deeper into figuring out how it all works. It’s been fascinating. I think it scratches my security interests itch. I’m hoping there’ll be a follow up with even more info.

As much as I love #ArcRaiders (but am still taking a break from it), I remain surprised they get away with charging not insignificant real-world money for basic cosmetics like hair cuts (and beards).
Full, transformative costumes? I get it, gaming revenue is tough these days. But stuff like "long bangs" and "mutton chops" and curly hair? That doesn't sit right with me.

Think I might take a break from #ArcRaiders. I love this game on so many levels but I no longer enjoy the player threat factor.
It is not fun spending 1-2+ hours gathering the resources to take on a giant robot that needs multiple players to take down, only to get shot in the back by a free kit player who literally spent zero effort. The betrayal is, yeah... whatever. That isn't fun.
But for me at this point, the problem is having my last 1-2+ hours completely obliterated by some garbage human being who put in literally zero effort. It's a broken mechanic.
No one wants to have their time wasted. Literally not a single human on the planet.
