Well, we originally planned just one major release this week, but now we have two!
Terraso's free and open source story mapping feature just got a much-requested update: autosave. Now when you work on your story map you can focus on your story, not saving.
May thanks to our friends at Conservation International Guyana for providing feedback and helping us to prioritize this feature.

Haha, rad! A woman in Guyana used @terraso's story maps feature to document a motorcycle trip across the landscape.
I love this. Often in the nonprofit sector we (I) get really clinical describing my community's environment. Telling an actual narrative (road trip!) is a great way to communicate the wonderful things about a place and its people.

The Earth Innovation Institute is hiring a full-stack developer who will work on LandScale. They're partners for Terraso; it's a good project, I recommend checking it out!

#Terraso is in active development. Last month, by popular request, we made it possible to embed story maps in your blog or website.
Now we're working on making them bigger and more collaborative.

There's a way you can #Terraso fundraise to support climate resilience without spending money, and using only minutes of your time.
My team is applying for funding from IDEO. To move to the next round of consideration... could you do 3 things?

You can now embed our #opensource story map tool in your website and blog using love, passion, and a good old-fashioned iframe (we'll supply the code).

So, my team's product launched today.
#Terraso is an open source tool for integrated landscape management. In our first two years we focused on data and mapping, focusing on making a story-mapping experience that everyone can access.
Today a bunch of Kenyan landscape members created storymaps and landscapes. I'm tired but so, so, excited about what's coming next.

Hey, don't tell anyone, but my colleagues and I are building a story mapping function in #Terraso, and it looks SO cool.
Really excited to show it to you all...

Update for #Terraso - collaborators can share links as well as files in the sharing module.

I chair my town's sustainability task force. Opinions my own. I'm a product manager on #Terraso, an open source tool for mapping and collaboration on landscape management.
Inspired by #solarpunk, powered by a turbine running on a mix of dread and optimism.
I post on #crafting, #books (especially #SciFi), and #climate news, especially on #organizing. Not to brag, but I'm married to a #librarian. 😎

I am a climate organizer and a social impact technologist based in the Northeast United States. I lead my town's sustainability task force (local action can make a huge impact, y'all!) and work on a #nonprofit, #opensource project called #Terraso - tools for land and community management!
I operate from the understanding that rights, justice, climate change, and a happy life are all inextricably tied together.
I post about cool stuff I find at work, interesting #books (especially #scifi and #solarpunk), #crafting and #gardening projects, and the occasional call to action for U.S. users.
Posting this re- #introduction since I've been getting a bunch of new followers - perhaps because of the great #TwitterMigration of '22.

I had a fun moment today where my colleagues and I were exploring a geospatial dataset and the quickest tool handy was #Terraso.

Y'all #Terraso now has a data mapping feature. 🥰
It's only taken...(checks watch) Two years since I started working on the project!

Hi all, my name is Derek. 👋
I'm a social impact technologist, historically focused on peacebuilding and democracy promotion. About a year ago I switched gears and joined a nonprofit building open source tools for landscape partnerships. I'm working on a project called #Terraso (terraso.org) and looking at using technology to handle a bunch of environmental services. I've been kind of throwing myself into climate-oriented stuff (installed #solar panels, switched from oil to heatpumps, trying to convince my partner to replace a big part of our yard with meadows.)
I love #scifi, #woodcrafting, #chess, and... let's just say I'm working on figuring out #gardening. 😄
My primary account is @Argus and can also be found on @DerekCaelin.
Anyway, I'm trying to find a community of people to learn from and share with as we develop a #solarpunk revolution. Looking forward to connecting with you all!
