  1. Tech over Tea episode #300 - @BrodieOnLinux has interviewed me!

Everything about OpenPrinting, history, what we are doing, funding and the future, …

As usual with Tech over Tea, there is the full 2-hour episode, plus 6 highlight clips taken from it.

Here is my OpenPrinting News post about it:

  2. @fireborn

all these are structural quality issues, I hope you don't stumble upon a lot.

The CLI is nice, for search and more use "nh". But it is veery verbose, I thought of that when listening to your #TechOverTea episode. It should have a less verbose mode

  3. the latest conversation of @BrodieOnLinux and the guy on the podcast was quite interesting.

What I found strange is how they separate licenses by being or . AFAIK, most popular licenses like GPL, MIT, BSD, MPL, etc. conform to both the and the standards. I guess what they meant was vs permissive licenses?

  4. Episodes 225 and 226 of the #TechOverTea #podcast cover #FUTO and explicit choice to deviate from #OpenSource licenses. Both episodes are thought-provoking. Here is the article by @danb on this topic danb.me/blog/futo-open-source- Podcast episodes here: youtube.com/watch?v=WhCcvzT3Ia and youtube.com/watch?v=Fb2hMLPnUP Here a real-world use of the FUTO Source First License 1.0 gitlab.futo.org/alex/latinime/

  5. youtube.com/watch?v=Ta0imAIz31 an excelllent Brodie interview. 2 hour long form interview with a meta kernel scheduler developer. If you havent checked out @BrodieOnLinux you might find something thaat grabs your interest.

It's not common to hear such low level discussion and I'd been interested in schedulers because I've known of kernel project so long. And I've helped test the experimental schedulers he's used over years.

  6. youtube.com/watch?v=fEdy5rChFN one more try. Great interview by with founder of very wide ranging open hardware cosmic desktop. I was amazed at how closely it mapped to the big refactors I've been doing in .

I realized today that I had actually found while drinking morning ( green for those wondering)

  7. @BrodieOnLinux has invited me over to be a guest on his podcast called Tech Over Tea, and we've had a chill talk about Linux, FOSS and other things :)
